I mentioned an article I had scene about how Oregon's Assisted Suicide law is being used. I said I would post that article to the list, so finally here it is.

"Some terminally ill patients in Oregon who turned to their state for health care were denied treatment and offered doctor-assisted suicide instead, a proposal some experts have called a "chilling" corruption of medical ethics.
"Since the spread of his prostate cancer, 53-year-old Randy Stroup of Dexter, Ore., has been in a fight for his life. Uninsured and unable to pay for expensive chemotherapy, he applied to Oregon's state-run health plan for help.
"Lane Individual Practice Association (LIPA), which administers the Oregon Health Plan in Lane County, responded to Stroup's request with a letter saying the state would not cover Stroup's pricey treatment, but would pay for the cost of physician-assisted suicide.
"It dropped my chin to the floor," Stroup told FOX News. "[How could they] not pay for medication that would help my life, and yet offer to pay to end my life?"

I've been hearing radio ads for the assisted suicide measure, attacking "out of state religious" folks wanting to force their way of life on Washington. You should know that the only reason this is on the ballot now is because out of state Euthanasia proponents came into Washington and started getting people to pass out and sign petitions.
Right now they say this will only be for folks in the last 6 months of a terminal illness. Does anyone really believe that once government is making health care decisions for people that that "limit" will remain? Anyone? And what better way for DSHS to ration services than to "allow" terminally ill patients an "alternative" to treatment?

I now live in Spokane so probably won’t be at a meeting anytime soon.
We must not succumb to the promotion of the presumption of an Obama victory manufactured by the media to undermine conservative turn out.
We owe it to our country and families not to quit at this point.

Like Dennis, I grew up in New York and went to school and summer camp with Leftists, Socialists and even Commies. These people are Machiavellian. The ends definitely justify the means. It is truly scary to reflect the rapidity with which this is all occurring.

I believe that at this point the following is the best place to make a $ donation to effect a McCain victory. It came as a link in the Dick Morris daily e-letter. Dick’s pretty smart about this stuff.
The following ad about Obama’s association with Wright CANNOT be run by the McCain campaign or the GOP because they would be vulnerable to the false but effective charge by the media that it was racist, when of course it is not.
Therefore WE must make sure America sees this. It is in fact up to US.

I think McCain and Palin can win, getting
the bulk of the undecideds in the final days, as their fear of Obama comes to
the surface. Especially in light of his bizarre comments critical of the
Constitution. I believe that Joe the Plumber, and the predictably
deranged response of the left to his comments, for all the world to see, began
McCain's recovery. The left wing FASCISM of the Democrats must be
defeated, or we will see a different America, and that would be be sinister
indeed. BTW, I've heard that folks from 570 KVI Radio, and like-minded
conservatives will be in attendance at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency, to
watch the election returns. Joanne and I are planning to be there with some
friends, and invite any of you to be there with us. I just had to get the heck

One current thought on polls. Current "polls" are based upon samples, and samples are based upon assumptions and data of registrations. However in this current cycle we have discovered that the ONE’s community organizing group, ACORN has been busy registering thousands of none existent democrats, which corrupts the registration data causing an registration universe that over represents Dem. Almost all the polls where you can get the sample sizes you find Dems to Repubs samples the Dems at 2 to 1. If the voter universe (read turn out real voters) is not this 2 to 1 but more even than a three point down "poll" is really is a even to three points up poll. The whole key is to get out the vote.
