Seeing that Evenlode item reminds me that all this years fieldwork, including there, is at risk due to the war in Iran. Last time I went to fill up the garages had no fuel which means no fieldwork on the large numbers of sites we are supposed to be monitoring and will have all sorts of other knock on effects. Not to mention the huge effects on farming itself.

Alwyn has just passed on the sad news that Surindar has died.

 

Surindar’s funeral will be at Oakley Wood Crematorium at 11.30 am on Tuesday 21st April.  We don’t have any further details…
