Dag allemaal,
Ditmer Weertman

Onderwerp: Klavarskribo scores and Dutch jazz magazines
Greetings from Canada!
My library recently received a bequest from a Dutch-Canadian artist and jazz aficionado. In his collection are several hundred published Klavarskribo scores and possibly over 1000 manuscript Klavarskribo transcriptions the donor apparently made (mostly of popular American songs from the 1920s, ‘30s, and 40s). These scores are not of use in my collection and I would like to know if there are libraries in Holland that may find these materials of use. I plan to write to the Klavarvereniging Nederland as well, but thought IAML Nederland members might be able to help as well.
The collection also includes significant runs of a number of Dutch jazz periodicals, such as Jazz Nu and Jazz Bulletin (Stichting Nederlands Jazz Archief). What would be the best way for me to find out if any Dutch institutions would like these periodicals? I am willing to ship them. I can provide a full list of titles and the runs of each in a month or two once we’ve finished sorting through the collection.
I would be most thankful for any guidance you can provide!
