I hope the garage sale went well. I would love to know the total
amount you raised. If you fell short of the $3000 goal, and if you
want to have a future fundraiser, I have another idea ......Water to
Wine would 'probably' let us use their facilities to have a wine
tasting. We could bring appetizers, maybe have some music like a
classical guitarist or something....and ask for a donation to attend.
Maybe have a door prize to give away too or raffle something off.

I know the people over there and have dealt with them for a several
other groups. Their wine is great, it's not a huge room but if they
let us have it for a ' happy hour' one evening - maybe for 1 or 1/2
hours - people could swing by, say hi, have some wine and snacks, drop
off a check or whatever. We could even invite some local business
owners and/or employees to help us out as well.

Great Idea Mary, and welcomed..... we still need money for The N Y Times and Wall Street J.   we made $ 1,164 ish which will cover all the mag. that were in lib. pre-budget ax. will get back to you for Water to Wine idea.....  fantastic..
