Woon Gyu Choi, Sunil Sharma, and Maria Strmqvist

A selection of images from the papers of Carl L. Hubbs, documenting his research in ichthyology, zoology, natural history, conservation, and archaeology. This online collection represents only a small fraction of the many original photographs and slides in Hubbs's papers, which includes images of biological specimens (primarily fish), mammals (whales and seals), portraits of Hubbs and other scientists, and images from his extensive travels, both in the western United States and abroad.

To discover additional photographs belonging to the Carl L. Hubbs Papers, please consult the finding aid for the collection (see the Related Resources link), and review the notes for series 7) Photographs and Negatives, and 8) Slides.

For guests that have previously sailed with Carnival (past guests), the 'Online Check-in' system will pre-populate the following fields based on existing information in the Past Guest database; guests will have the ability to make the necessary changes to any of these fields:

STEP 3 - TRAVEL PLANS

This information is collected to create a hassle free vacation before and after the cruise. For Europe sailings and guests who have pre-purchased transfers, this information will be required. The guest will not have the ability to opt out.

Will you be parking a car at the pier? (Yes or No)

Will you be flying to or from this cruise? (Yes or No)

If flying, please provide your Arrival (before cruise) - and - Return (after cruise) flight details to search for your flight: From / To / Departure Date / Departure Time / Airline

Arrival Appointment

What time are you planning on arriving at the port terminal on embarkation day? Select an arrival time and we'll save you a place in line. The time you select applies to everyone in your stateroom. Guests who arrive early will be asked to wait until their designated arrival window.

STEP 4 - ONBOARD EXPENSES

Carnival operates a cashless system onboard - all guests must be added to an expense account for onboard services and purchases, even if they are not given charging privileges. Since the onboard currency is the US Dollar, all monetary transactions on your onboard account (i.e, billing, charges, disbursements, etc.) are managed in USD.

Terms & Conditions - Accept Terms: Once the method of payment is selected, guests are asked to accept the Terms and Conditions of the Onboard Expense Account. Once they have read them, they must select their name from the dropdown and click 'Accept Terms'.

Credit Card/Debit Card Information: First Name / Last Name / Card Type / Credit Card # / CVV (for credit cards) / Expiration Month and Year

This page provides Terms and Conditions about the cruise. This information should be reviewed thoroughly.

Each adult traveler must accept for themselves and their minor children, but cannot accept for other adults. Any passengers that don't complete this section will need to visit the check-in desk during embarkation to accept these terms. To complete your online check-in, you must agree to the following cruise ticket contract.

Once the Cruise Ticket Contract has been accepted, this completes the Online Check-in process. This is indicated by the guest name(s) appearing in green and the prompt will read 'This guest has completed Online Check-in'.

Why is this important? Completing this process before you arrive at the port will make the boarding process even easier. Once your Online Check-in is complete, you'll be able to print your boarding pass, luggage tags and even additional documents from home, to save you time when boarding.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: The Online Writing tutoring service is available to accept and review student papers. Please read the instructions below to make a reservation for your paper to be read by an online tutor. This service is reserved only for students in 100 level courses and above.

Students who use the Writing Center service will be enrolled in the LST-606 noncredit course. Students will not be charged for the course, nor will it affect their GPA. It is used to document usage of services to help with apportionment funding for tutoring/learning services. For more information, click here.

Online Tutoring requires a computer with Internet access. The steps below make Online Tutoring a fairly simple process. Before using the online tutoring service, familiarize yourself with the following guidelines and instructions.

Turn-Around-Time: Online Tutoring is conducted on a reservation basis. Therefore, you will need to manage your time accordingly in order to get your paper back with enough time to make any needed revisions. Each paper will be given approximately 30 minutes up to a maximum of 1 hour of tutoring assistance per submission. Your paper will be read when the tutor is in session with the exception of official college holidays. Typically, you should receive your paper the same day that you have made a reservation and submitted your paper. However, please allow up to 48 hours to receive your paper. If the situation arises in which you do not receive a reply after 48 hours, please resubmit your paper again.

Appointment Verification: If your instructor wants you to submit a Verification Slip to verify your tutoring session, you may print out your e-mail response given by your tutor and/or you may print out the e-mail that you received from the online tutor indicating that your paper has been reviewed.

Recent military service and medical records are not online. However, most veterans and their next of kin can obtain free copies of their DD Form 214 (Report of Separation) and the following military service records any of the ways listed below.

Some companies advertise DD Form 214 research services and will charge a fee for obtaining copies. This is provided as a free service by the National Archives and Records Administration.

There is a fee for records that are considered "Archival," which depends on the discharge date. If the request is made 62 years after the service member's separation from the military, the records are now open to the public and subject to the public fee schedule (44 USC 2116c and 44 USC 2307). This is a rolling date, the current year minus 62 years. Learn more.

Response times from NPRC vary depending on the complexity of your request, the availability of the records, and our workload. We work actively to respond to each request in a timely fashion, keep in mind we receive approximately 4,000 - 5,000 requests per day.

Records are accessioned into the National Archives, and become archival, 62 years after the service member's separation from the military. This is a rolling date, the current year minus 62 years. See more information on records older than 62 years.

Archival records are open to the public and can be ordered online for a copying fee. See Access to Military Records by the General Public for more details.

For additional details on what information may or may not be included, please see the Special Notice to Veterans and Family Members regarding requests for copies of military personnel and/or medical files.

You can mail or fax your signed and dated request to the National Archives' National Personnel Record Center (NPRC). Be sure to use the address specified (either in the instructions on the SF-180 or in our online system, eVetRecs). Most, but not all records, are stored at the NPRC. (See full list of Locations of Military Service Records.)

Special Note on Contacting by Email: Requests for military personnel records or information from them cannot be accepted by email at this time. The Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. 552a) and Department of Defense directives require a written request, signed and dated, to access information from military personnel records. Our email address should only be used only to request general information (hours of operations, procedures and forms) or to submit compliments, complaints, or concerns.

NOTE: If you send messages using WebTV or a free-email service, you will not receive our response if your mailbox is full. Messages sent to full mailboxes are returned to us as "undeliverable." You may wish to include your mailing address in your message so that we may respond via the U.S. Postal Service.

The Kendall County Circuit Clerk's Office is required to follow the Illinois Supreme Court Electronic Access Policy, which limits what documents are available to the public online. The Office of the City Register records and maintains New York City real property and certain personal property transfer records, such as mortgage documents for property in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. (Please contact the Richmond County Clerk for properties in Staten Island.)

Property records are public. People may use these records for background information on purchases, mortgages, asset searches, and other legal and financial transactions. Reviewing these documents is not necessarily the same as a title search.
