I wanted to share two things with all of you - 

1) Meetup - Lets have a meetup next sem and discuss about our startups. What all the teams are doing? How is everything going? 
So that we can learn from each other and also help each other in whatever way possible.
We can also have the NVC 2012 batch in the meetup and see what all teams are there and what they are doing?
I think this can be a good way to build a community of NVCians.

2) NVC newsletter - a monthly newsletter for NVC
a) The main aim of the newspaper will be to update on what all the NVC teams ( all the batches) are doing. How are they progressing?
b) In every newsletter we can share one NVC team's story.
c) We can also put internship opportunities (if any) in any of the NVC startups.
d) We can have some good articles on entrepreneurship.

We can have a lot of things that can be put in this newsletter.

I would suggest starting right away. Any vague future plans rarely materialize.

It would be great if we could all post experiences both technical and entrepreneurial and I'm sure it will have a great response from Bitsians  both NVCians and non NVCians. I think we could discuss and start implementing the whole idea next semester when we meet up.

These are wonderful thoughts . Letus crystalise it. We ould like all Pilani teams to apply for Incubation in a prescribed format to avail incubation facilities. Let us work together to make things happen.

  1. Message from Arya Sir & Abhinav - I think first article/first two articles should be the message from Arya Sir and Abhinav. For this I would like to request Arya Sir and Abhinav for giving a message to all the aspiring entrepreneurs and telling about NVC, the vision, how it all started.   2. About NVC course - In this we can put About how NVC works, the selection procedure, the course structure, the mentoring, about the course running across 3 campuses.   3. Message from Mentors and Speakers - We can contact all the mentors & speakers if anyone would like to share their thoughts on NVC and entrepreneurship.It can be a complete article or a message. We can put all such messages in one article.
  4. NVC startups - one article for every batch showcasing all the teams from that batch with a small para from every team.
  5. Teams individual story - One article from every team.
All this will also help us in having a good amount of content to post on the blog in regular intervals.

Some of the things we need to do - 
  1. We will need the email ids of all the teams, mentors, speakers to send them a mail about the blog and requesting them to send a message/ article.
  2. For teams we can put a mail on the NVC groups of all the batches and ask them to send  their articles on a particular email id.
  3. We can make a folder on google drive to collect all the articles and then start posting on the blog.
  4. We can post them as we receive articles from teams.

I would like everyone to put in their views on above points and add more points to this. 
Lets make this blog a hit!

I completely agree with Abhinav, we should start implementing things right now as waiting till Jan is of no point. We can start the blog now and plan for the meetup and have it as soon as we reach the campus.

I think there are two main things we should very clear about -  

1) What is the main aim of the blog.

2) What message it will deliver about NVC and the NVC teams.

Then we can work on the ingredients to make this recipe a hit ! :)

I would like others also to come up with ideas and suggestions.

The ideas shared look really great. 

We'd like to take up this initiative. We are already running a startup mag at www.inc42.com/magazine and it'd be really great if we can integrate this project into it. 

If everyone is fine with this, we can begin the setup for this. 

Please do share your opinions.

Karthik, How do I get access to write to this blog?

Besides the suggestions for some initial posts, I highly encourage all NVC entrepreneurs to post their own experiences. This will be helpful to promote the program and also share your experiences with future NVCers.
