Administrative Professionals Day (formerly known as Secretaries Day)
is celebrated annually on the Wednesday of Administrative
Professionals Week, which is the last full week of April. This year it
falls on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.
This holiday was created back in 1952 in order to recognize the
significance of administrative professionals in the workforce,
commonly by giving small, meaningful gifts and lunches, and to promote
secretarial careers to young people. According to the International
Association of Administrative Professionals, some of the job titles
held by administrative professionals include administrative assistant,
office coordinator, administrative specialist, executive assistant,
office manager, receptionist, and of course, secretary.
If you are fortunate enough to work alongside one of these hardworking
professionals, we would like to offer you the opportunity of giving
