Good morning volunteers,

The Washoe-Pleasant Valleys Cooperative Weed Management Area, Bureau of Land Management, and the Nevada Important Bird Areas Program would like to invite you to the upcoming “Washoe Valley Volunteer Days: Noxious Weed Identification Training” scheduled for May 23rd 9am-1pm (see pdf attachment for more information).  We will be visiting the Winters Ranch property (managed by BLM) which has a high diversity of native plants but also encroaching noxious weeds, such as tall whitetop and musk thistle, which can negatively impact the wildlife habitat on the ranch and Washoe Valley.

Please join us for a Weed Walk, BBQ, and presentations on the Natural History of Washoe Valley.  We hope to see you there.

Any questions, please feel free to contact me.  Cheers,

Robin Powell
