Please HELP!

I am encountering a terrible glitch. I've set up a form with Form Ranger to organize group interviews for up to 200 students (which begin next week!). Students will use this form to sign themselves up for a time slot until it is at capacity - the capacity for each time slot is crucial.

The form is set up so that they have two day options (Tuesday or Wednesday) , and then each day has a drop down menu of 5 time slots available. So each student will only select ONE day with ONE time.

I have set up the form so that when they select Tuesday and a Tuesday time - it will kick them to the end of the form to confirm using the "Go to Section Based Answer".

HUGE BUG: Once a user actually uses the form and hit submits - Form Ranger is somehow glitching and changes the terms of the form. Instead, it is deleting "Go to Section Based Answer" out of the backend on both Tuesday and Wednesday dropdowns. This is an obvious problem because when a student selects Tuesday and then it prompts them to select a Wednesday time - some students are selecting 2 times when they can only have one. They are taking up an extra capacity for a seat that is needed for another student. The whole purpose of this form is limiting the capacity.

When I look in the form, "Go to Section Based Answer" have disappeared and no matter how many times I put them back in, once the form is used, it just defaults back. So frustrating. This is causing huge stress because it's hundreds of students and this form is going into full force this weekend.

Please help!!

So the problem is that FormRanger is updating the question by replacing the existing values with new ones.  There is no process to automatically update any branching.

I think one of the simplest things to try is to make it a single question with day and time.

Tuesday 9:00
Tuesday 10:00
Wednesday 9:00
Wednesday 10:00.

There shouldn't be a need for branching and there is only one question to be updated by FormRanger.

Let me know if you have questions.

Hi Joe!

Thank you so much for your prompt answer. this was incredibly helpful. I duplicated my form and formulas without branches and it worked out. I will definitely keep this in mind for future forms. Thank you!

I have a problem if I want to follow the solution mentioned here.
I have option for 6 days dan each day have 4 section to choose.
What is the better way to handle this without using the branching?

Just make an item for each day / Section.

Monday - Section one
Monday - Section two
Monday - Section three
Monday - Section four
Tuesday - Section one
Tuesday - Section two
etc.

A Dropdown list of 24 items is very manageable.

If this will now work, let me know what is the issue.
