Hi
I have a spreadsheet where formmule workded b ut it has stopped.
The "send status" indicates it was sent, but no emails were received.

This is what the status indicates but no emails were sent or rather received. Not even in the spam folder. It did work a day ago.

 forgot. When I delete the "send status" and manually "preview" and send, then it sends the email. Obviously, this is not how it should be done.

Hi John,

I believe that once a status cell is populated, the script is designed to ignore that particular row of data. As you did, the only way to resend is to delete the send data for any rows you want to resend.

If you want to use the same email template over and over but also want to keep the status data, you could either manually copy the data to a column to the right of the status column and then delete the info in the status column, or write a script that would do that automatically. Another option is to set up a new email template each time you want to send another email: you could simply copy the original email template to a new template. This, if I recall correctly, creates a new status column for the new email template. This way, again, you are able to retain the status data for each email sent, if that is important.

Thanks. 

I did not explain myself well.

I only need the script to run as it's intended to run. .

The script runs.

It updates the send status.

But no email is received by the recipient.

Hi Robin,

Simply deleting the sent status does not trigger anything unless you have setup to re-run the sheet on an hourly interval or something.
Also: check your sent folder in Gmail for recent submits.
"Not receiving anything" is not always the problem at the sending of the process.
Spam-filters or other kinds of bounces or rejects by the receiving mail-server may have the same effect.
Keep in mind your mails must not be perceived as spam as Google then may not even actually transfer them internally.
If you bcc: your own account you will not only see the sent mails in your sent folder but also receive them in your inbox.
Better compose a filter to 'archive' them immediately a label them 'formmule-bcc' to help you deduce causes.

Bottomline: check sent-folder, (re)configure triggers, do not create spam

Thanks. The email is triggered. hourly. The sent status shows sent. But no email is sent. There's nothing in my spam folder.

Hi Robin,

Let me list the facts for this case

1. sent column is cleared
2. hourly trigger writes a new entry in send status
3. there is no copy of this mail in the gmail send folder

if you manually run the process after 1. it all works fine.

If 2. happened theb the mail was to be accepted by the mailrelay. If 3. happened it has somehow been rejected.

Are you sure the google/gmail account which configured FormMule is the same as the sheet-owner running the triggers?
If you logon with your account and manually have no issues your grants may differ then of the sheet.
The issue might even be beyond your control if you have a business/education account being managed by others which can set policies to prohibit automated mailprocesses.
Disregard the previous if you are solely working with a personal Google account and are sheetowner and did the Formmule config with the same.

Final thought for now: i create columns to verify my data is valid and complete.
It reports 'INCOMPLETE' when stuff fails - like the emailaddress or so - 
'LAUNCH' when complete and sent status is empty,
and 'DONE' when sent status contains a logentry.


FormMule has for each template it's own LAUNCH trigger configured.
And to prevent running into the daily mail quotum I report DELAYED when i submitted more than 100 mails in the last 24 hours.
If you have more FM configurations running this is not enough but another problem ;)

I hope my insights might help you finding the culprit.
