checking data from different files?

Hi, I am working with a two step registration. So participants fill in one form and get automated emails. Then they get a second form for details of their registration. No when the results come back in two different files, is there any way to check data in the first file? Like if person A sends in form 2, can there be a automatic colour or text in responses to form 1?  I need somehow to see who has also turned in form 2. 
 I made 2 different response files,  maybe I need to start with having both forms respond to the same file, different sheet? Can two sheets have different setups for emailresponses?

There are pros and cons to having responses from two forms in the same spreadsheet.

I have not experimented with multiple forms feeding into one spreadsheet.  I don't think you can setup Formmule to process from two different sheets.

The separate spreadsheet method has been used by many folks.

I've decided to just go with 2 forms and 2 response sheets. But I have a problem sending link in auto mail to form 2. It doesn't show as a clickable link. What can I do?

Did you click on the link at the top of my previous email?  It describes a request/approve process that can have multiple levels.

Your question was: How to get my link to the detailsform in my response to actually work as a link.

Although many modern email-clients scan your attachments...
...(for undesired things like trojans, viruses and root- kits, malware-scripts and worms)...
...they also check the mail-contents for undesired messages...
...(such as spam and fishing)...
...and then can additionally do something they were not explicitly told by the sender to do but automagically can do for you anyway...
...such as resizing and embedded image to fit on it on your tiny or big display...
...and highlight or even create links from text recognised as an URL.

Everything i just typed above was entered as plain text without any formatting.
Even this URL to www.google.com is plain text.
Your email application on your current device - on which you read this - may however show it as a link you can click on, although I never told or instructed it to do so.

Attention: for the rest of this mail  I'll start to use formatting my text to help you understand your what needs to be done.

We call text formatted if the appearance differs from the text we read. These can be cosmetic, like using bold,  italics or underlined  or even colour.

A link is and advanced piece of formatting...
...shoutout to the physics engineer Timothy Berners-Lee for HTML, XML and the WWW...
...which not only allow a format to a sequence of characters in a text but...
...but also embeds directions to where you can go and the magic of getting there by clicking on this peace or hypertext.

So welcome to the higher level of communication :)

If you search for HTML LINK format, especially in the archives from this mailing group you'll find great instructions on how to put some specific html-tags in between your text - similar like you use the <<tags>> created by FormMule to create personilised responsemails - to format your link with the desired special effects ;)
