Hi,

My receivers are receiving duplicate emails. Also timestamp of the FM comment at the row is not matching with either of the email sent times.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your user key!
There are a few others experiencing this issue as well and at this time we are not positive if the cause s an error within Form Mule or an error occurring with Google based triggers.
Do you know if you take the trigger off this job and then later push the emails manually by "selecting preview and send all", will duplicate emails still occur?

Also, are the duplicates happening for every row and how frequently are they occurring? ( just trying to gather as many details as possible to relay to the developers)

Thank you !!

Hi,

I am having a similar issue with duplicate emails being sent to users. This occurs roughly 1 out of every 3 times. I have multiple triggers on this form, however the one that is sending duplicate emails (send status found in column AK) is the only one that uses "send all" as its send condition.

Troubleshooting steps I have taken:
-Deleted trigger and re-created from scratch
-Deleted template and re-created from scratch
-Created new response sheet
-Created new form with new response sheet

Issue still remains.

Thanks in advance!

When you created the new response sheet, was it in the same spreadsheet or a completely new spreadsheet?

Frequently, creating a completely new spreadsheet solves the problem.  I know it can be a lot of work.

Are you sure the duplicates are coming from the new spreadsheet?  Did you turn off the triggers in the original spreadsheet?  Those triggers may still be active.

I'm not part of NewVisions but I know they are looking into the problem and a solution.

Thanks for assisting in finding a solution.

Hi Joe,

That's a good point. That actually may be a fix for an old problem I used to have with an older sheet. This current form I'm having a problem with is a fresh form that was built from scratch. It only has one sheet associated with it.

Thanks!

I would try running the merge manually just once.  I'm hoping that it will not send any duplicates.  It may clear the trigger problem.  If it doesn't work, then try turning off the triggers and selecting a new output spreadsheet.

Keep us informed as to what works.

I will go ahead and try that. What would be the best way to turn off a trigger? I'm going to submit a form without the automated trigger, then manually merge to see if it sends duplicate emails. If i were to create a new output spreadsheet, what would be the best way to migrate the data from the old form? It would be important to retain the data in the new ongoing sheet as it is referenced by multiple users. Thanks in advance!

Best,

I am also experiencing the same problem, users are receiving duplicate copies of each message send.

Tried new form, new spreadsheet, started all over from scratch deleting the previous version. Still the same.

For some reason, the duplicate emails have gone from intermittent to now every time the form is submitted. Has anyone found a way to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Best,

Hello Shelly,

Yes, I believe you are correct, this duplication issue is directly linked to form triggers.

I have been following the Google Issue Tracker and many people have reported this to Google ( it is not only happening in Form Mule)
I would suggest that you follow the Issue Tracker and also let Google know that you are seeing this error. Notifying them that is still occurring is helpful.

I have reported this to the developer team and they do not see a way that Form Mule is causing the error, the error is coming from the triggers ( which are run by Google)
We are going to keep digging into this to make sure there is not something we are missing or someway we could help alleviate this issue.

Thank you all so much for reporting and updating us on this error. We appreciate the details as it helps us pinpoint the cause and where we can go for solutions.
