Do you know why I may be getting an error message from form mule that I have hit my sending limit when I am below my google workspace (for education) limit? Our limit is 1,500 for outside the organization, I believe it is 2,000 within.

I was sending an email to all current 9 - 11th graders, to their student email address (so should have been considered within the organization), but either way, it was to about 1,250 students.

It stopped sending at about the 650th student and returned an error for all remaining students on my list saying I was at my limit and could not send more.

I did include a reply-to email to one of our vice principals that was different. Could this be why? Was it counting that email in each message? Still 650 x 2 = 1300. I should still be able to have sent more.

Any thoughts to avoid this in the future?

According to Google, a reply-to address does not count toward your outgoing quota; only To, Cc and Bcc count toward the quota.

Did you perhaps Cc yourself in your email?

Regards.

It counts every FormMule email across your entire ‘day’ do if you use formmule for anything else, they all count. Any chance you have other FormMules?

Thanks for the suggestions -- I did not cc myself and had only sent about 20 other form mule messages that day. I now think what happened is that google throttled my account because the messages were going out too quickly. I believe sending limits are only one factor -- and the message that triggered this was a very simple form mule, so the messages were going out very quickly. I ran a google apps script to check my remaining email quota yesterday after all of this happened and it showed zero. And this morning the quota is 1496, after 4 form mule messages have gone out. So, that is my current theory. I think in future I will batch send about 3 or 400 messages and then wait about half an hour and send the next batch, etc. If anyone has any other theories, let me know!
