Using Doctopus without template

Hi, 

I'm new to this community. I teach math and physics and I was looking into a tool to speed up assessments. 

I understand Doctopus must be normally used by creating a template that can be then distributed to the class. 

Normally I just assign to my students some exercises from their math/physics exercise book so I provide them with just page and exercise number and I don't need/want to create any template. 

I would like students to just complete the exercise in their exercise book and then make a picture (or a pdf) out of it and send it to a specific folder of my Google Drive. 

Can I still use Doctopus in this way to automatically create folders and the perform the assessment?
