Brand new error: As of today, scores are not appearing in the spreadsheet. After I fill out the rubric and a comment, I click "Submit." Scores and comment are not being saved to the Doctopus spreadsheet. I opened the document from the spreadsheet (otherwise the rubric at the top of the screen would not have appeared), but the scores are not being populated in either the "Ingested..." tab or the "Rubric Scores" tab. Major problem.

I was concerned that mine may be missing too, but they are still there. Seems that the problem is something unique to your situation, though I cannot tell what. Try refreshing the page. I hope you have the information stored elsewhere; if not, you may find it helpful to email scores to students so you can check back in your sent mail as a backup. Also, transfer to gradebook immediately as while this is a useful tool there are still many things for the developers to work out. Wish someone who really knows could answer all our questions

Hi David,

I'm not positive this is the issue but lately Google Sheets has been having some weird behavior around timezone settings and it is affecting the way add-ons can interact with the spreadsheet.
Can you try in your spreadsheet, go to file > spreadsheet settings > change time zone.
Change the time zone to something else> save> then change back to what you need it to be set as > save.

Then next time you grade/comment see if that information is transferred back to the sheet.

Thanks!!!!

Sorry for the slow reply...busy grading research papers etc! Anyway, I figured out my issue. MY MISTAKE!

I think I accidentally deleted some important columns in the spreadsheet, including the "File key" column. I often use the "Hide" function to hide these from view, so I can see all of the rubric scores on my screen, as well as additional columns I have created with functions such as averaging, subtracting points for days late, etc.

The "Hide columns" command is not visible from the regular menu, but only from the context menu when columns are selected. The "Delete columns command is only two commands up the list. I must have been tired or working too fast, and clicked the wrong command.

I went into the Version history and restored the version before I made that error. Luckily, Goobric had saved scores and comments in documents I had graded since then, so I just clicked "Submit" again, and the scores populated in the spreadsheet.

Thank you Goobric! Great product!

Wonderful, I'm so glad to hear you resolved the issue! 😁
Thank you so much for updating this post. It is very helpful for others to see what steps you took to fix the error.
