I can't get doctopus to launch from google sheets.

a pop up window shows up saying "Oops! An error has occurred and logged so the New Visions CloudLab team can look into it..."

I tried deleting doctopus and reinstalling it, using a fresh google sheet, restarting my computer.

I really don't want to print out rubrics, I love doctopus, can someone help?

Hello Anna,

Is this spreadsheet on your drive or a Team Drive?
This error message usually happens when the file you are working with is not on your drive.
Thanks!

Hello,

I will still have to tinker with it, but I'm running into the same problem.

The situation is as follows:
  1. My rubric sheet is in my drive. Because I ran into the error before I made a copy to my drive and removed all redundant stuff (notes, comments, even formatting).
  2. The filled out assignment doc is in my drive, linked to the classroom.
  3. The empty (classroom) assignment is linked to a team drive doc.
If the team drive is a problem, it may be number 3. that makes it bug. However, I can ingest the assignment normally. Submitted and turned in work is ingested normally. Just linking the rubric to the assignment gives me a very hard time and gives the by Anna quoted error message.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Peter

Just tinkered with a dummy classroom and assignment, and assignments and rubrics which are all in my drive.
The problem persists.

I find myself in the same situation:
1.- Launch Doctopus in a new spreadsheet in My Drive (personal, not team Drive)
2.- Select Classroom mode
3.- Ingest assignment
Then I try to attach a rubric form My drive, by clicking on Attach Goobric and selecting in Attach rubric
I get the same error than Anna & Peter. (Oops...!)
However, I found a kind of half-fix by refreshing spreadsheet and re-opening Doctopus.
Magically, link to rubric appears on top right corner. So, the  rubric is loaded.
Then, by clicking "Display latest scores", I can see "rubricScores" tab.
After that, I can use Doctopus "normally".
I hope this helps you, to use Doctopus and to find a fix for that issue.

Thanks,
Antonio

I started my morning with a huge Hooray! It works! I got the rubric attached and the files loaded, the rubric attached... until I wanted to start assessing. At that point I do get the pop-up tab, as usual. The window is divided in three area, as usual. But no assessable assignment pops up unfortunately (see below). I will try to refresh again, but so far something seems to be off. It's been loading for more than a few minutes now.

Cheers,
Peter

So, at that point, please try to do this:
1. Reload Spreadsheet
2. Run Doctopus
3. Clic on "Display latest scores"
4. Start assessing
It should work

Looking forward for your feedback...

Cool! :D It does give me an error first, though. I ignored it, and indeed, tried, it works! :)

Thanks! :D
