Copy and Share Never Really Finishes

I'm not getting any errors, but when I run copy and share, the files drop at their destinations, but the progress bar never fills up and the task in Doctopus never reads as complete so I can't access the Assignment Tools panel and attach the Goobric (or update edit counts, embargo, etc.).

I also assume this is relevant and part of the same problem: The above was Chrome (on multiple machines), but I tried in Safari as well, but the copy and share stage just wouldn't load at all. Again, no error statements; it just freezes and stays blank.

This was fixed for about a day and a half, but now I'm having the issue again.

I'm having the same issue. I found that running it again removed all but one of the shared students. But still the process never completes.

having similar issues here. After selecting Distribute resources to a roster and selecting the roster Doctopus successfully adds the appropriate data, but after confirming the roster and attempting to go to the next step I get the following error message: Caught something:
toString(): value: [ReferenceError: key is not defined]

The inconsistency of this is getting me closer to attempting to have Gemini or Chat GPT try and help me write my own applet that will basically do the same doc creation (with sharing). I don't have Doctopus create folders anyway so I really just use it to streamline assignment distribution (and collection). I don't know what I'll be able to do to replace Goobric if it comes to that.

Would you be able to check again and see if Doctopus is working as expected. There was a recent Google update that caused some issues but it looks to be now resolved. 🤞

I tried it again today and it still does not work. It allows me to select a roster and it successfully pastes the roster into the sheet, but it hangs before showing the dialog confirming that the roster is correct.

Thank you for sharing that update and sorry to hear that modal is hanging and the issue still persists.

Would you be able to share your user key from the Doctopus drop-down, please copy and paste the key on this thread? That might help the team determine what error is happening.

Sorry for the late reply. No, it is still not working. It hangs after confirming the type of assignment (in my case Group assignment, I also check the box to prevent users from updating sharing permissions). I am able to get past the issue by reloading the spreadsheet, then reopening Doctopus and basically going through the process again. Next, it hangs at Loading Jobs. Again I am able to reload the page and go through the steps again. However, when I goes to create and share the docs, it does not make all the necessary documents and for the docs it does generate, it makes multiple copies (I had to close the side panel to prevent the copying to continue seemingly indefinitely).
