DocAppender posts twice

I run into this every time I need to make a change to the DocAppender app, it goes back to posting twice. The fix used to be to deactivate DocAppender, but I can no longer figure out how to do that.

I know others have experienced this bug. Would love a fix. It's SO frustrating to find that I didn't save myself time, and instead need to spend hours finding and deleting extra posts.

• I uninstalled the add-on, refreshed the page, reinstalled the add-on, refreshed the page and completed the form. Still had a double-post.
  
  
• I uninstalled the add-on again, refreshed the page, reinstalled the add-on, refreshed the page, opened the add-on and went through the steps ... this time there was an option to deactivate the existing setup for DocAppender. I deactivated it, refreshed the page and set up DocAppender again. When I completed the form, there was only one post.

Glad you found a solution, thank you for updating this post!

If you get duplicates again, try these steps: while only logged into one google account (very important) try and reset the trigger, open up docAppender, click through until you get to Step 4, then you should see a 'disable' button the bottom of the sidebar.
Click disable> refresh your form>open docAppender and go through the set-up again then try a test submission.

Yes, I'm well familiar with the workaround. The problem I had is that the "Disable" option wasn't available. After I uninstalled and reinstalled, the option came back.

After using Doc Appender for several years, I am having the duplication issue. I've tried both the disabling process as well as the uninstall/reinstall process multiple times and I'm still getting duplicates.

The only difference in the duplicate is that the fields aren't bold.

Not sure if this will be the case with you but we found here that we had duplicate postings using docappender when two of us shared and edited the same form.  Once it was unshared with the other, we did not have any more duplicate postings to the doc.

Thanks.  That seems to be working.  It's odd that it has been shared the same way for about 3 years without the duplication happening.  It's a bit of a problem for it not to be shared, so I hope the issue can be resolved at some point.

If I remember it correctly, our instance was working correctly at first.  I was not the owner of the form but I was showing someone how it worked so she shared it with me. I edited her form from my computer and that is when the duplicates started. It took me a bit to figure out why it all of sudden started duplicating but I could only come up with that so I had her unshare it with me.  It immediately stopped duplicating. 

I have used Autocrat and FormMule for quite a while but just recently started DocAppender.  Maybe you can help me if you have been using it for a while.  I have set up quite a few documents for my students for the A+ Program. I am pretty sure I have everything set up correctly but each day as the students sign in and sign out of our district buildings for tutoring using a google form, I have about 5 to 10 that don't append on their personal doc. I have 100 students that are signing in and out each day during summer school.  I cannot figure out why some are not posting.  It is on the linked spreadsheet fine.  There is no rhyme or reason to why one here and there is not posting.  Any suggestions?

The only I've seen is if there is any type or difference between the title of the doc and the corresponding question on the form or if the doc was moved from the original doc appender destination folder, there will be an issue. Other than that, I haven't seen it happen.  I use it for district staff ed tech PD tracking and update several hundred docs.
