Doc appender not loading

Hello,

I have opened up doc Appender in my side bar and have selected the target doc file, but it is "thinking" for a long time and not loading. Do you have any suggestions for what I can do?

Hello,

Hmm...this could be a few different things:
First, make sure you are only logged into one Google account (very important) and that this folder with the doc files is on your drive (not a team or shared drive), and try again while in a Chrome Incognito window

Next, when you are at step1 to select the folder and the window shows up to search, just click on your folder once to select, do not double-click into it.

If you still get the spinning wheel, can you please hold down Control+Shift+J" on a PC or "Command+Option+I" on a Mac and when the side window opens, take a screenshot of the error console ( make sure the side window is on the 'console' tab)

What do we do next, this is extremely frustrating, I use doc appender for all my classes, especially now more than ever.  I teach multiple classes and it would take me for ever to file everything manually.  Do you have a suggestion on how to fix this.

I am also have this same issue. It just continues to spin, and I've ensured all of your above criteria are met. I am using the controls you mentioned (Ctrl-Shift-J), but nothing is coming up. I really appreciate any and all of the help in resolving this!

Here is my screenshot (attached). Is this maybe due to an increase in users due to distance learning?

I am having the same problem. It won't load when I select to pick a folder from Google Drive.

I tried again this morning, and it has begun working again! I don't know if someone tweaked or if it was just volume, but thanks to those who tried to help! Hope it works for everyone else as well.

Hi Andrew- Thank you for confirming it is working again. It might have been volume; others applications were noticing a "Google Service Error" that was causing issues with loading.

Hi Katie- Thank you for supplying a screenshot of the error console and trying out the troubleshooting steps. Are you still facing this issue or has it resolved itself for you as well? 

I'm hoping the issue you were all seeing was Service Error related to an overloaded Google Server. Thank you for your patience!
