I've used it hundreds of times for "exit slips" "show me" "do now" ....all those little things teachers are supposed to be doing to collect evidence of engagement and learning.  They all got put into a single Google Doc with that student's name on it.  Now it's stopped working.  Can't uninstall /reinstall it either.  Fustrating.

Please make sure you are only logged into one Google account ( or use a Chrome incognito window) while opening up Doc Appender and/or while editing the job settings and also makes sure that this folder with the documents is on your Drive, not a Team or Shared Drive.

If all job settings were as you needed them to be, then try to toggle the trigger by selecting the 'Disable' button on the bottom of Step 4 > close out Doc Appender > reopen and then select 'Enable'.
Run a test to see if that resolves your issue. Hope that helps.

If you are still having issues, please go the Doc Appender menu to retrieve your 'user key' then and copy and paste on this thread and we can check is the backend shows any errors. Thanks!

Thanks for the response.

What has been really frustrating is that I teach 5 classes and the Doc Appender has continued to work for 1 of the 5 classes.

The other 4 it is not.  

Typically, I create a copy of the existing Google form,

just Import a "your name" question from another Google Form, customize the Doc Appender and post it.

I checked all the accounts & other suggestions mentioned in your response.

Still no luck.

Thank you for supplying your user key - from the key I am only seeing one repeated error:
"Document properties failed to be retrieved.......no item with the given ID could be found"

For full transparency, I am not an engineer but my interpretation of this message is that the add-on is unable to locate these files and that can happen for a few reasons:

1. The permission settings on the file are not open

2. The folder holding the file is not accessible to the add-on ( if it was on a Team or Shared Drive or if the sharing permissions on the folder are not open/ belong to another account)

3. The Doc Appender settings were created when more than one Google account was open ( my previous reply on resetting the triggers would have covered this scenario)

4. The folder was created by Google Classroom - there is odd behavior occurring for some users with folders created by Google Classroom, it is an open issue that I am unable to recreate but a few users have reported that Doc Appender does not work on a folder created by Google Classroom.

I'm not sure if you have already tried this but as a test, I would suggest creating a new folder with new documents and have that folder live at the top of your Drive ( not stored in another folder) and see if that resolves the issue. Hope something here helps!
