Previous co-worker set up the current autocrat.  How do I delete / remove the current set up so I can set up one of my own.  I deleted the current job, thinking that would wipe it clean. I set up a new job but when I go to manage triggers it still show her as the owner of the triggers.  How can I correct this?

Text below is from the FAQ. Perhaps you need to see if you can remove Autocrat from the account and then reinstall it?

Understanding Triggers in autoCrat

Triggers are automated actions that occur for specific events, like on a form submit or at a moment in time.  A trigger is authorized to run actions as the user who sets it, which means that emails and docs run on a trigger will look as though they were produced by the user who “owns” the trigger.

Google allows add-ons to have one trigger per type (i.e. form submit trigger, time trigger) per user, per document.  This means technically each user can install their own trigger on autoCrat, but that would create duplicate merged documents.  To avoid this we only allow a single trigger to be installed by any document collaborator.  This is the trigger.

We also create a triggered jobs list.  This is a list of all the merge jobs that should run for a given trigger type on a spreadsheet.  So if you have two merge jobs, and you want both to run when a form is submitted, you will have a single form trigger set with 2 merge jobs in that triggered jobs list.

For example, if Beth sets a trigger for the first time on MERGE JOB 1, the trigger will be on Beth’s account only.  So when the form triggered merge runs, it runs as Beth.  This means any emails being sent would be sent from Beth’s email account.  If Doug is a collaborator, he can decide to edit MERGE JOB 1 and remove it from the triggered jobs list by un-checking the form trigger box in advanced settings.  BUT he cannot remove the trigger set by Beth.  Only she can do this.

So if Doug then adds a form trigger to MERGE JOB 2 on the same spreadsheet, it will get added to the triggered jobs list that is still attached to Beth’s trigger.

If Doug wants the email to come from his account, he needs to ask Beth to “Delete spreadsheet triggers” under the autoCrat menu, in the settings sub-menu.  And then he can install the form trigger, which will then be attached to his account.

This is super confusing, I know…

"Perhaps you need to see if you can remove Autocrat from the account and then reinstall it?"  I would like to do this... how can this be done.  As the current owner of the triggers is not available to make any changes.

My understanding is you might have to select a new response output from the Google Form.  Then add Autocrat and all of the other steps.

I think it has been posted before.  It isn't as simple as one would hope.

The only way I know to completely kill a trigger is to delete the spreadsheet and remove it from the trash folder.
