Single merge is only displaying first row

Hello!

I'm trying to create a catalogue of items that are on a sheets document into a slides document, I have it all set up correctly based on the multiple outputs setting, but when i try to use the single output setting its only returning the first row of data but with the total number of rows in the data set,  so with the 54 rows of data i have i get 54 slides but the information is only for the 1st row of data.

Hi All,

I'm experiencing the same problem - multiple output mode works as expected, single output mode, only reuses the data from the first data row (second row) for each of the rows.

I just created a small test and it worked for me and the merge tags were updated per each row.

I tested with slides.  Can someone share with me a sample that doesn't; work.  It should not have sensitive data.

Paul,

You have found an undocumented bug.  Autocrat doesn't process merge tags in a header or footer.

The solution is to remove the header and footer.

Adjust the top and bottom margins 

Put the header and footer into the document.

You should get the same or similar results.  

I ran an example using a new template.

You might find that Autocrat starts a new page occasionally.  You should be able to live with that.

Hello. I seem to be having this same issue. I have two different templates I have tried (three). One in slides. Two in docs. It is merging the first row and then leaving the tags in all of the other rows. I do not have anything in headers or footers. This worked until today.

We are still experiencing the same issues.

Even starting from scratch we have odd issues.

We can produce individual reports, but when we try to do a single file output, we continue to have issues.

Yes, having a similar problem here today 11/06/26 - Single merge document, with the first merge working but all subsequent entries being the tags.   Running the job as a multiple Docs job works perfectly, just one single job

Last time the job was run 23/04/26 - absoulutely fine.  Is this a problem from a recent update?

Same here! Experiencing it with multiple merge jobs, all attempting a single output. Have attempted with multiple templates as well, none are successful beyond the first row.
