Images from Google Drive

I'm aware that the help docs say that Autocrat can't be used for images stored on google drive, but it also looks from the section on image merging in the FAQ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gGSonT0zm2TZlE_P32NJSQByvHraLbN6KM44WyTXwdI/preview#heading=h.lp9cjxdbq7yv that there may have been a work-around that has been lost since the google+ guide for it disappeared. Does anyone have a copy of the document available or are they able to advise if the workaround is possible.

I know that some other add-ons (Form Publisher etc.) are able to access drive forms, so this doesn't seem to be impossible via the API.

Make a copy of example  It has some formulas that convert the URL to one that can be used.

The file is still there.

Thanks Joe. I think that will work well for my purposes if things can get worked out (although it seems not all images are working with this method just now, apparently).

Are you able to let me know what you put in the AutoCrat job in order to import the image into your word document? Are you using the 'standard' form or the 'image' one?

I'm using the modified URL in my Google Document template.  There is a known problem that Google doesn't always find the image.  Search the forum for Thumbnail.  I think someone found that modifying the URL you can retrieve a thumbnail image.  The quality isn't as good but it seems to work.

I'm not sure what you mean bu "standard" form.

Sadly the thumbnails won't work for my purposes. 

I'll hope to revisit AutoCrat in the future, seems like a great tool.
