"You need to resolve your template permission issue"

to NV Autocrat Add-on
We've been using autocrat for quite some time in our district with no issues.  Recently, our autocrat projects have stopped running and this is happening across our organization.

We're getting the issue shown here.  It's saying "You don't have access to the template."

The template is a file that I'm an owner of and I changed the permissions to "Anyone with the link."

in Google Admin, I've added Autocrat to the allow list

I've also turned on "Allow users to access Google Drive with the Drive SDK API"

What else do I need to do to get this operating again?  Some quick Googling has taught me that I am not alone in this issue, but I haven't found a solution.  Has anyone else been able to resolve this issue?

Try selecting the template again.  Security may have changed.  Autocrat does not work with shared drive files.

I did do that - select the template again.  And the file is not in a shared drive.

Here's what I've tried/learned:
  • My files are not in a shared drive
  • I can use Autocrat just fine in a personal Google account, but it doesn't work in my Google Workspace account - this tells me that it must be related to a setting in the Google Admin console.
  • I have tried on both my home (unfiltered) and school (filtered) wifi and got the same results both ways - this tells me that it's not related to a webfilter setting.
  • I did add Autocrat to the Allowed Apps list for Staff in our Google Admin Console.
  • I did turn on "Allow users to access Google Drive with the Drive SDK API" in Google Admin Console.
I'm seeing on Google Search that others are having the same issue, but I still haven't found a resolution.

Checking in again to see if anyone else has had this issue and found a way to fix it.  We're still having this problem and NONE of our autocrats are running.  I've even contacted Google support, but because it's an add-on, they couldn't really help me.  The only permissions recommendation that they had was to turn on "Allow users to access Google Drive with the Drive SDK API" in Google Admin Console, which I had already done.
