I keep getting this error message when I start a new form/sheet/slide and create a new (first ever) merge immediately (dont even get to pick the slide document yet:

ERROR

Warning - Duplicate merge sheet headers found. Your job may not run correctly if not resolved. Duplicate Values: [EMPTY HEADER]


I deleted every empty column to no avail.
What is this error really trying to say and how can I fix it?

Make sure that Autocrat is looking at the correct sheet.  All of the columns should have a title in row one.  Delete any empty columns.

As I said before, I already tried all that.
Its pretty obvious which sheet, its the only one open and I started Autocrat from it.
First thing I tried was deleting the empty 3 columns on the right that google adds automatically.

If you do not have sensitive data on your sheet, can you share a copy or take a screenshot of what all your column headers look like?
That would be helpful in order to recreate the error.

David shared his data with me and I discovered unmatched <<>>.  He had a couple of cases where he had <<tag>.  

I received this error when I tried to duplicate the problem.  The fetching failed is correct but maybe there should be a mention of unmatched <<>> in the error message.

I used CNYL-F and searched for all "<<" to find the ones that only had one ">".

I have no idea why I received a different error than he did.

We have solved the problem by identifying imperfect tags in my template that lead to everything not being read properly.

The error message could be more useful however.

Sorry, what does that have to do with anything?

I give out tons of open-source "out of the goodness of my heart" but if there is a problem, I help people.
I did thank them for replying and someone else helped me to track down the problem.  No further assistance required.
