Hi all,

I know a lot of you have been helped by Joe Schmidt over the years with lots of different issues. I know I have.

I am just writing to let you all know that Joe passed away in December 2025. 

He was the most helpful person with all of my FormFusion and AutoCrat issues for sure. And he was just a really nice guy. I had the pleasure of working on a big project over zoom with him so we were able to talk quite frequently. 

I sure will miss him.

Thank you for sharing this sad news, Eileen.

Joe’s help and dedication made a real difference for so many of us in the FormFusion and AutoCrat community. His knowledge, patience, and willingness to support others will not be forgotten. Even for those of us who may not have worked with him directly, his impact was clearly felt through the many people he helped.

My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. He will be greatly missed.

This is indeed really sad, and such a loss. Joe has given selflessly for so many years, our entire school admission application form process was based on AutoCrat, and we are truly grateful. We are a not-for-profit school in Bangalore, India, and Joe has been so helpful when there were little roadblocks that we encountered. 

May you rest in peace, Joe.
