AutoCrat Failing to run

I believe google is having an issue with Drive API calls right now, but want to make sure I am not missing something.  I am also getting errors with Make.com api calls to google drive.  We are on a Google EDU account and I don't think there is anyway we are hitting a rate limit.  Also for some reason I have tried to post a new conversation in the group twice and it is not showing up, so I am trying email now, but forgive me if there are multiple post eventually.

When running a merge job that only has 6 records (manually triggered or through form submission trigger), immediately I get in the Merge Status Field:

After waiting a while I get:

Something is wrong. This should not be taking this long :(

After waiting longer I get:
GoogleJsonResponseException: API call to drive.files.insert failed with error: User rate limit exceeded

Autocrat ran just fine for me.  I don't see others complaining so I'm guessing it might be something with your setup.

Have you spoken with the IT or Workplace admin to see if they've made any changes?

I replied back in the other chain I hijacked saying that my account I was using was indeed blocked for too many API calls.  I thought something else was going on.  Shortly after that I saw several users talking about Captcha loops.  I ran my 1st and 2nd merge job no problem.  Then on the third suddenly I was in that same captcha loop.  When clicking into the details it is google "protecting" my request because too many request are coming from this IP address.  Could it be that something changed and the API calls are exceeding the threshold?  Causing the Captcha and my issue getting blocked yesterday?  Both days I didn't have issues until I ran my merge jobs.

There are two different blocks that might be associated with this, both from Google.  In both cases they say it will reset automatically, in my experience it is 24 hours or at the very least the next day.

1 - Unusual traffic - when it is seeing a ton of calls at the same time, repeatedly.  (This is most likely your issue since you are in the captcha loop.)

2 - API call limit is exceeded (daily limit, both by user and domain.)

You can test to figure out which one it is...  If you change users it is executed with and it works, then you most likely have hit a per user API call limit.  If it doesn't work then you either hit the domain limit or the unusual traffic.  If you switch IP addresses (VPN or another location) then you can test if it is the unusual traffic.

For my solution (work around) I switched all my AutoCrat scripts to run as a specific account that is only used for AutoCrat.  That way if something goes wrong it doesn't break my other automations.  Doesn't help though if my IP gets flagged for unusual traffic.

I am not sure if I am having the same issue but Autocrat stopped working for me sometime around Sept 15.  When I run it manually everything looks to run fine but it shows no merges before cleaning up.  How are you able to see that the API calls are being exceeded?
