Two part Image question

to NV Autocrat Add-on

Hi everyone,

I am collecting in a form/sheet Image files (jpeg, png gif etc) as part of a questionaire. I need to be able to automatically put specific images (ie specific question) to the Background of a Slide, and in other cases (again unique questions) put the image onto the sheet (eg Logo).

How can I set a tag to be the background image and for an image widget on a Slide?

Hi David,

(I think I understand)

When you set up your template, Slides allows you to order how the items are placed, for example:

The text box I create and type in: <<background image>> ( right click on that text box > Order > Send to Back)

And then do the same thing for the <<Logo>> you want to land in the Front.

Hope I'm explaining that clearly.

Autocrat will follow the format of your template to merge the images in correctly.

Ok, I guess that could work as I dont know the datastructures of Google Slides.

What about putting text into the Notes section?

I don't think Autocrat has the functionality to merge into the speaker notes.

I could be mistaken but it is not a documented feature, also I am not aware of anyone who has done this with Autocrat.

Is it obnoxious to +1 this request? I tried to do exactly this (merge into the speaker notes area) today and it did not work. Interestingly, Autocrat did recognize the Tag I had put in that area, it just didn't replace it when it built my slides.

That said, I'll just throw out that Autocrat is amazing, and I've been able to automate a lot of work using it. I love how consistent and predictable it makes presentations and documents.
