Hi, I have a simple, yet frustrating use-case problem. I'm working with some behavior specialists at my school who want to use a simple Google form to collect behavior data on a given student. The idea is to have 3 simple questions on the form: class period? how was the student's behavior today? and did the student earn a high five? This form will go out to each teacher who works with this student, and we want the teachers to fill  out the form each day. So there will be approximately seven rows of data from the response spreadsheet each day because seven different teachers will submit the form.

I'd like to be able to configure Autocrat to run daily to take that data and merge to a single Google doc that is a "summary snapshot" of the student's behavior for each day, and have it auto-emailed to the students' behavior specialist and parent.

I'm stuck on how to get Autocrat to combine data from multiple rows into a single Google doc, as it keeps creating separate docs for each unique row.

Any bright ideas?

Here's a sample of what I'd like the summary snapshot to look like:

Summary Snapshot for Johnny
Date

Summary Snapshot

<<TODAY>>

Period

Notes

High Five

1

<<How did Mary Rose do in your class today?>>

<<Did she earn a high five?>>

2

<<How did Mary Rose do in your class today?>>

<<Did she earn a high five?>>

3

<<How did Mary Rose do in your class today?>>

<<Did she earn a high five?>>

4

<<How did Mary Rose do in your class today?>>

<<Did she earn a high five?>>

I don't know how to do this with Autocrat.  There will be from one to seven rows for each student.

There is a RangeToTable function in FormMule that should do exactly what you want.  Or get close.  You will need a separate sheet that contains the Student's name and the parent's email address.  That is where you would put the formula to select the records for a specific student for today().

You would need a script to clear the status column once a day.

FormMule would be set to run at a specific time and only send it there is data or do you want to send for all students.

The above are pieces of the puzzle of a design that should work.
