Hi Folks,

I have old sheets I need to hold on to for data purposes, but no longer need to run Autocrat from.  I've deleted the Autocrat merge job, but I still get "Unable to talk to trigger service" from those sheets.  Is there a way I can resolve this?

Thank you in advance,

Joe

Before you delete the merge job, you should turn off the triggers.

Make a copy of the data and then delete the original and then remove it from Trash.  I think triggers still try to run even if the file is in the Trash.

Hi Joe,

I'll give that a shot.  Thanks!

Hmm, can't do that.  The original creator of the document (owner) now works for a different office in my district.  I can't trash the original file, though Autocrat emails me because I'm the one that set up the Autocrat merge on the script.  I would think triggers would be removed when a merge job is deleted.

I'll reach out to the owner and ask him to trash (and trash delete) the file.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

Two Joe's think alike.  I would think that a delete of a merge would delete the triggers but I don't think it does.  Maybe NV can check that.

Also, Google could save a lot of CPU cycles if it didn't run scripts on files in the Trash is just another folder to Google.

That is my understanding.
