I keep seeing this message in my spreadsheet.

!!!ERR: Failed to add merged file to folder due to Google error: API call to drive.files.patch failed with error: File not found: 10;

The file is going directly into my Google Drive without being placed in a folder. I don't know what is wrong or how to fix this. I have searched for help in the group and tried the suggestions from those questions. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you choosing the folder within the Autocrat set-up (Step 5: Choose destination folder) or using a dynamic folder (Step 6 & then including the folder id in your spreadsheet) ?

I'm not positive but within the error message "......File not found: 10" I think the 10 is referring to the folder ID.
If you are using the dynamic folder option; I would double-check the folder Id within your spreadsheet.

If you are selecting one destination folder via Step 5 and have confirmed that this folder is on your drive (not a team or shared drive); have you tried removing the folder from the job set-up > closing out Autocrat >reopen & then re-selecting the folder> press save?

If this the above info is not relevenat, can we please get a few more details on your set-up and what you have tried thus far to correct this issue. Thanks!!!

Hello Cybil,

I had the same problem. The solution is to set-up a column on the Sheet (usually Form Response 1) to reference a folder ID, such as "Folder Reference".  The folder ID is the string of characters after  folders/  14cnFMg2pIORG-bnF9V8i1UrRWNCF6zDd.  This ID is linked to a folder name, use VLOOKUP to reference this folder ID.

Here is equation =VLOOKUP(C3,'Folder Links'!A$1:B$3,2,False).....THis is file and range Folder Links'!A$1:B$3. Column A is Folder Name...Column B is folder ID. Then in Autocrat, the "Dynamic Folder" to Folder ID Column:  << Folder Reference >>

Thank you! Somehow when I created a new folder, it worked. I'm not sure why the other folder wasn't working, but this comment helped me figure it out! Thank you!

Hi all! I'm having the same problem ever since we tried pointing AutoCrat to a destination folder in a Shared Drive after migrating to Google Workplace for Nonprofits.

In the "Choose destination folder(s)" step of the configuration (Step 5), I am able to see the folder and select it, but when AutoCrat tries to move the merged file there I get the error referenced in the subject of this thread (!!!ERR: Failed to add merged file to folder due to Google error: API call to drive.files.patch failed with error: File not found: 15Z4wswase50qjfj2187TcZ0zu7ZfJlOq;). AutoCrat is able to find and use the template stored on the Shared Drive, but can't seem to write to a folder on that drive it even though I am logged in with an account that has Content Manager permissions for that folder. I have tried creating a new folder with the same result. I'd rather not use a dynamic folder reference.

By the way, if I point it to a folder in My Drive, it works fine. The problem only occurs if I try to use a folder in our Shared Drive. Thanks!

You may have just helped uncover the API issue for a lot of folks.  

You can't use a Shared Drive with Autocrat.  The output must go to a NonShared drive.  Personal account.  You might be able to set the sharing rules for the folder to allow others to do what they need to do.

I had some jobs, using folders in a shared drive, that was working until april, 30. After this date, didn't working more... Different spreadsheets, but de same error.
