As autumn leaves turn their brilliant hue, the time for celebrations and thanksgiving is here. The ‘Guwahati Kut Organising Committee 2013’, under the aegis of Kuki Welfare Association, Guwahati, request the honour of your presence at the ‘XIII GUWAHATI CHAVANG KUT Celebration’, the post harvest festival of Chin-Kuki-Mizo people. ‘Chavang Kut’ is an occasion for thanksgiving to Chungmang Pathen, the Almighty who provides, for all his blessings and for bestowing the plentiful harvest for the year’s labour.

Shri Ashutosh Agnihotri, IAS, DC Kamrup(M), Government of Assam has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest while Pu Angam Kuki, President, Kuki Inpi Meghalaya will grace the celebration as KUTPA.

The Kuki community in Guwahati pledges to mark the occasion as a festival of harmony and unity among all brethrens and has dedicated “ Hand in Hand" as the theme for 2013. The CHAVANG KUT Celebration will showcase the rich culture of the Kukis of Assam and Northeast India. The unique cultural items, traditional dress, music, dances, costumes, etc of the Kuki tribe will be displayed on this auspicious day.

Come and celebrate the Chavang festival with great pomp and gaiety.

Date: 9th November, 2013 (Saturday)

Time: 10:00 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Place: Guwahati Medical College Auditorium ( GMC), Bhangagarh, Guwahati, Assam
