It gives us immense pleasure in informing you about the annual literary fest ROSTRA, being organised by the Literary Society of BIT MESRA.
Rostra, now in its third year, has enjoyed phenomenal success in the past and is all set to be even better than before. This time, with events like Be the Next Shakespeare, Panchayati Raj, impromptu speaking in English and Hindi both, which cater to the interest of a wide array of participants, students are sure to rediscover their literary self. The flagship event of Rostra is the Youth Parliament- a real time simulation of the power house of our legislature, a politically ‘correct’ amalgamation of oratorical skills and intellect aiming at creating awareness and initiative amongst the youth. The event Newsroom will challenge a participant’s wit, preparedness and adaptability and may bring out the hidden anchor. Moreover this year, Rostra will be spreading its wings across the nation with the national level online submission event, “Be the Next Shakespeare”. This event will reveal a whole new world of ideas, creativity and imagination transcending the barriers of the expected and ordinary. The informal events like Concentric Circles, Viewpoint will add more fun and frolic. Finally, the void left behind by a tiresome day will be filled up by spectacular nights. So, don’t waste another second. Be a part of this marvelous carnival and we promise that it will be worth your while.
