Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the mass email, but I thought I'd start this Google group so we can communicate with each other much faster and more efficiently than through FB.

First off, let me me introduce myself. Hi! I'm Katrina. On August 30th, I'll be moving from Seattle to Evanston. I graduated from University of Washington in 2006 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. It's going to be a huge transition for me coming from a computer-centric field, to one that actually involves talking to people. I'm excited! :) Without a background in SLP, it's going to take me 3 years to get my Master's degree. Anybody else in the same boat as me?

I'm a very easy-going person. A self-proclaimed foodie and the organizer of "No food left behind experience", Seattle chapter (jk), my interests include cooking, eating, traveling, hiking, cross-stitching (yes, it exists!), watching TV, sleeping, taking care of my yorkie and kayaking, just to name a few. I recently did a 2-month backpacking trip to Asia with my husband(who will be in UCLA for the next 2 years getting his MBA...boo!) I highly recommend it to everyone because it was such an amazing experience and we got to eat so much good food!

I know that Cristina is planning on having a get together with everybody around September 10. I think it's a fantastic idea! It will be great to meet all of you before chaos, that is grad school, begins. Though, I'll be settling in my new apartment much earlier than that. Being that I don't know anybody in Chicago, I thought I'd try to organize mini-outings before then. I also plan on running every morning (now that I said it, I have to do it!) If any of you are interested, please let me know! We can also do happy hour, explore Chicago, go to the beach (or lake, not sure what Chicago has), cook together, or just hangout.

Feel free to introduce yourselves in this thread, give suggestions for activities or just say "Hi!".  If you'd like to opt out of this google group, please let me know and I'll remove you from the list (no hard feelings :)

I hope to hear from you guys soon! If not, I'll see you at school! :)

Hello Everyone,

I decided to follow in Katrina’s footsteps and introduce myself, especially since I’m not on facebook. I’m Jenny.  I’m originally from Los Angeles.  I graduated from Northwestern in 2007 with a BA in Linguistics.  I’ve been living in Chicago since then, so I’ll have a little commute to school. I live in Lakeview, which is one of the neighborhoods near Wrigley Field.  On game days, if something really good happens, which lately isn't too often, I can hear the roar:).

Despite the connection between linguistics and speech pathology, I’m in the 3 year boat as well.  During my break from school, I’ve been a substitute teacher for the Evanston School District, a TA in a kindergarten classroom, and a babysitter/nanny.  Needless to say, I spend a lot of time around kids! I'm considering the early childhood track.  Anyone have any plans about the tracks?

In my free time, I knit and sew many different things. Recently, I've been knitting amigurumi, which are small, cute stuffed animals. This past week I have been sewing various presents because the three year old that I babysit is turning four. My girlfriend and I have somehow managed to sew two super hero capes, a mail carrier bag, fabric envelopes, fabric stamps, and are now knitting her a sweater. Outside of crafting, I'm a big movie goer, tv watcher, and game player. I've also taken a number of art classes and am currently doing metal sculpture.

In terms of outings, I have a few suggestions. The Chicago architecture foundation has some fun walking tours that are inexpensive and interesting (there is also the more expensive boat tour, which is good but more of a commitment). The Chicago Art Institute has a large permanent collection and usually something interesting in their temporary exhibits, as well as a new modern wing. The museum of science and industry is worth the longer drive/ride and is kid approved by the girl I babysit for. Also, Chicago summers are filled with festivals so if you guys are here already, you should check them out (Metromix.com is a good resource for those).

I guess that's all for now.  Enjoy the last month of summer!

Jenny

Hi Everyone!
My name is Laura and I graduated from the Univ. of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 2008.  I have a Psychology degree, so I'll be in the 3 year track, too.  Since graduating, I've been with a nonprofit organization called Best Buddies that works with students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  I'm really excited to start using my brain in an academic way again-it's been a while!

I've been living in Chicago (Lakeview area) for the past 2 years and have a ton of free time until we start classes. I'd love to meet with anyone who wants to get together--I'm a big foodie, as well, so maybe a dinner?  Chicago has the best food.  There. I said it.  If anyone wants to check out the Wicker Park neighborhood (sort of central-west area of Chicago), I know a good Spanish tapas restaurant.

I'd be down for anything else, too!

Thanks for starting this up and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Laura

Great to hear from you guys! It looks like we'll be taking the same classes for the next 3 years! :)

@Jenny: Thank you for the recommendations! I'll definitely look into it.

@Laura: I love Spanish tapas! I might have to call you one of these days for that recommendation. I was also watching the Travel Channel and some host said that Chicago has really good food. He said that it's very down to earth and not bougie compared to restaurants in NYC. I like the sound of that!

Talk to you guys soon! :)

Hi Everyone!!

Sounds like I won't be alone in the 3 year track, thank goodness!  My name is Beth and I graduated with my bachelors degree in Psychology (from North Central College in Naperville, IL) and then went on to get a masters in special education.  I've been working as a special ed teacher for the past 3 years with children with Autism.  Through those experiences I have seen just how important communication is for these children and am so excited to get started with everything!

I got married almost a year ago, my husband works in the loop so we're so excited to have moved to Evanston (what an amazing place!!).  Actually we just officially moved this week, so it's been great getting to know the area and settling in.

Katrina, I love food too haha!  I would love to all get together and try out the great places Evanston and Chicago has to offer! Also, I do not know anyone in the area and my husband works alot, so I'd love to help plan or partake in outings / activities!!!

I cannot wait to meet everyone...and please keep me posted on the Sep. 10th gathering!!

See you all soon!!!

Hi all,

I was also really excited to see that there are some other people in the 3 year track with some similar experiences.  My name is Traci, and I graduated from Purdue in 2008 with a degree in education.  I have taught kindergarten and fourth grade in Chicago for the past two years.  I live out in the suburbs (Mt. Prospect), but I would love to meet all of you.  So, please keep me posted about any outings; it would be really nice to know some people before school starts. :-)

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.

Hey everybody,

My name is Meghann and I am starting in the three year track as well. It's great to hear from all of you! I got my bachelor's in music education from NYU, and taught in early childhood settings in NYC and Philadelphia before moving to Chicago just about a month ago. This summer has been really busy with moving, and I got married two weeks ago, so I am just starting to explore all that the city has to offer. I'm excited to meet all of you! Please let me know of any outings/activities. I'd love to join!

All the best,

Hey Laura,
My name is Stef, I'll respond to the whole group as well so sorry that you'll get two emails from me but the second I read that you love food I had to email you back. I LOVE FOOD. It's all I think about...and I also just moved to Evanston and don't really know anyone so I'd love to come meet you in the city. My cell is 914-319-3431 so feel free to text me. Has anyone else gotten back to you about being around? Tapas are usually good in groups. Let me know!

OK so this is embarrassing, I wasn't really aware that reply without hitting reply all would still send to everyone....oops. SO I'll just introduce myself. I'm Stef. I graduated from UW-Madison this past spring with a Bachelors in Communicative Disorders. I think that means I'll be on the 2 year track (at least I hope so) but who knows. I am definitely going to try the early childhood track because I love working with kids and that track was the reason I chose this school. Anyway, I just moved to Evanston and know NO ONE! My boyfriend and I just moved into our first apartment together but he works a night shift in the city so I'll be fairly alone until school starts. If anyone is in Evanston or Chicago I would LOVE to meet up! I rarely check this email account anymore so I added by northwestern one on there. If anyone knows how I could change that officially please tell me. Anyway my cell (again) is 914-319-3431. Feel free to text. I would love to meet up or hang out or get food...If not I'll see you guys at orientation!

Hey everybody,

My name is Steph. Like Stef from the last e-mail, I just graduated from UW Madison with my Bachelors in communicative disorders, so I also think I'm maybe starting the 2 year track this fall. We'll see...
I moved to Evanston with my fiance in mid-May and I've been working with preschoolers at a clinic in Skokie over the summer. When I'm not working, I love running. Luckily Evanston is a beautiful city for jogging! I've done 2 half marathons in Chicago this summer and I'm signed up for a third in the city on Halloween morning!
I've also been busy planning my wedding for September of 2011. It sounds like a lot of you have gotten married recently so we'll definitely have something to chat about!
I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone. I think a meetup of some kind before orientation would be fantastic. Definitely keep me posted!
Steph

-Hello all
Here I go, my name is Andrew. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008 with a BA in French. As such I will do the leveling year. Presently the neurogenic disorders tack sounds like something I might do, or I'll just stick with the general track. I just finished working at a day camp, and before that I worked at a gourmet grocery store in the cheese and wine departments, so it's good to see that there are a lot of other foodies here. However, I've yet to catch the cooking bug. When I'm not eating I love football (soccer). Not sure what else to say here...
Just a heads up, I was on campus today and was able to obtain my Wildcard, however it looks like parking passes will have to wait until after we are registered for classes.
Take care

Hey Everyone,

My name is Avinash, but most people just call me Avi.  I just graduated from the University of Iowa 3 months ago with a BA in Speech and Hearing Science.  So, I will hopefully be on the 2 year track.  I'm also trying to decide between the different tracks.  I'm considering the thesis option too.  I've been working at a lot of different jobs in Iowa City and am now ready for a change.  In my free time, I love watching sports.  I'll be moving to Evanston next week and would love to meet up with you all before orientation.

Wow!  Well done SLP group!

My name is Jackie.  I'm moving from San Francisco to Evanston in two days... road trip w/ my mom who's from Chicago, sounds lame, but I'm amped.  About me: I graduated from SF State with a degree in Psychology in '07.  And since then... I tried teaching conservation sciences to 11-year-olds, then I spent some time in Vail, Colorado, snowboarding, and the past year I spent backpacking and tramping through Asia.  So I'm on the 3-year plan as well.

Yes, let's rendez-vous.  Friday the 10th sounds good.  I liked the idea of taking a walking-tour with the Chicago Architecture Foundation.  Being new to the city I'd like to start getting familiar with the skyline.  So I just checked out  http://caf.architecture.org.  And I don't know how many of us would be interested in going, but there are many different tours: Skyscrapers a walk through time, Millenium park revealed, Modern Skyscrapers, Historic Downtown, and many more.  All $13 or less if you're a student.  But if more than 10 people are interested maybe we need to organize a group tour... I guess if your interested respond to this email.  And we should be able to work something out.  And if you're not interested, we could get food after.  Just throwing it out there.

Um... I just noticed there's only one email in the To: box, so if only one person receives this please pass it on.

Thanks
Jackie

Hello, hello!

My name's Natalia and I just graduated from NYU with a degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders so that means I'll be on the 2-year track with a bunch of you. I'm also interested in doing the neurogenic disorders track.

I too am doing a road trip to my new place in Evanston this weekend (with my sister & brother-in-law), and though it would appear I'm missing tapas I would greatly like to get together the following week when I've settled in :-)

About me: I'm originally from Poland but grew up mostly in nj and living in nyc the last four years. I'm sad to leave the city which has become my home but am really excited to explore a new city altogether and meet all of you! I love to read, eat, travel (!) and try new things.

Hope all of your summers went well & see you soon!

Cheers,
Natalia

Hello Hello,
I am Caitlyn. So great to hear from everyone. It is also great to hear that I am not the only person on the 3 year track.

I graduate from Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Theater performance and Costume design. This September marks the third year I have lived in Chicago, which is crazy! and I'm signing up for 3 more. It is a great place and I hope everyone will be happy here. While in Chicago, I have been working in the Costume Shop at Steppenwolf Theater company and doing costumes for various other theaters around Chicago, but I am looking forward to a new challenge.

I am originally from Colorado and love outdoor adventures, picnics, FOOD, art, and music. Unfortunately, I am working and out of town up until we have orientation but I look forward to meeting all of you very soon!!!!

Until then have fun exploring,
Caitlyn

Hi everyone!

I have been away from my email the past few days as I moved to my new apartment-what a nice surprise to find all of your emails waiting!

My name is Liz and I actually grew up in the Chicago suburbs although I lived in Atlanta, Georgia the last few years.  I graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois with a degree in child development.  That means I will be on the 3 year track as well-so glad I'm not the only one!

I'm starting to get settled in Evanston and am so happy to be 'home'!  I would love to meet up and have lots of free time before school starts.  My fiance is still in Atlanta finishing up grad school so I'll definitly be looking for things to do.  I have a dog and would love to find a walking buddy for any of you living in Evanston.

One more thing, I am not on facebook so please keep me updated on any outings.  My cell is (312)479-3708.

Talk to you all soon,  Liz

I am originally from Colorado and love outdoor adventures, picnics, FOOD, art, and music. Unfortunately, I am working and out of town up until we have orientation but I look forward to meeting all of you very soon!!!!

Until then have fun exploring,

Caitlyn

Hey Everyone!

My name is Alan but usually go by AJ, and I will be moving from Los Angeles. I graduated from Cal State University Northridge in 2009 with a BA in Linguistics. So I will also be on the 3 year track and can’t wait to explore Chicago.

I am fan of running, traveling, languages and sports. Hopefully there are some people interested in catching a sports game or two this quarter. Also if anybody on this thread is familiar with ASL and would like to practice on signing, that would be awesome.

I will be arriving on September 8th and definitely interested meeting up before orientation.

See you soon,
AJ

This is so great! Hello Hello!

My name is Therese and I am from Orange County, California. I graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of San Diego in December. I've worked with Autistic Children as a behavior interventionist for a year and also taught an after-school reading program focused on phonological awareness so basically I love kiddos! I've never lived outside of Southern California so I'm super pumped to move to Evanston on Sept 8th. I love running, singing, dancing, movies, exploring, baseball games, craft projects, and the beach :)

So excited to meet everyone!

I wanted to clarify what people were planning.  What's happening on the10th? I actually, can't do dinner that day, but that's ok. Was a different day also picked? I can't remember.  I can do any other day that week in the evening Monday through Thursday or lunch Monday through Wednesday.

I also like watching (and playing) sports.  I'm hoping to get to go to some football games this fall.  I guess I'm waiting to see what my schedule turns out to be.  But if you're interested or planning on going to any games, let me know.  Here's the link for the football schedule http://nusports.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/nw-m-footbl-sched.html. Will go to other sports too :) And am always up to play catch.

I only know a little ASL, but would really like to know more.  Who knows if there would be time for more classes (probably not), but I know the Chicago park district and Bell School offer classes and workshops.

Wow, guys! How pumped is this group?!! I know I'm getting more excited by the minute!

My name is Melanie and I'll be on the 3 year track as well. I graduated from UCLA with my BA in linguistics back in '09 and have spent the last year getting my head together and enjoying the quiet life. I spent a few recent weeks as a counselor at an SLP day camp where I got to work with another incoming member of our group, Ellice (Hi, Ellice!)  I love to knit and crochet, and recently I've gotten into jewelry making. I have a guitar, but I'm terrible at playing it, so I'm thinking I'll trade it in for a ukulele. I'm a vegetarian and I'm starting to get into vegan cooking (which tastes much better than it sounds!) I do enjoy good food and despite my new passion for vegan cuisine, (Andrew, you'll be happy to know) cheese and I are in a very committed and loving relationship. I love flea markets, vintage fashion, antique furniture, singing, languages, traveling, and happy hour. And I also love architecture! So Jackie, I would love to do one of those walking tours!

I move to Chicago (Ravenswood) on Fridayyyyy!! And I would love to meet you all and join in one of these group adventures before orientation! Unfortunately, I don't think I can make an outing on the 10th either, but I'd be happy to join in any other day. Enjoy the last weeks of summer, everyone! See you all very soon!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Ellice (pronounced Ellis) and I am moving from Los Angeles as well. I graduated from UCLA in 2009 and for the past year I have been taking prerequisite courses at Cal State Northridge and have been working at a Speech Pathology private practice (Hi Melanie! hehe).  So I think I am on the 2-year track and I am also interested in the Neurogenic track :)

I can't believe we are starting so soon!  I am so excited but also getting very anxious! This is my first time leaving Los Angeles, so I am a bit nervous for the frigid winters and hot & humid summers.

I love eating and trying new food, love making things such as necklaces, brooches and headbands, love reading, exploring, watching movies, etc.

I move out on September 8th and I I can't wait to meet everyone! Yay!

I just met my roommate today and she's actually a 2nd year in the program. She's so jealous that we have an email group that we can use to communicate with each other. hehehe

Melanie, I might have to ask you for vegetarian/vegan recipes! I'm not actually vegetarian, but, I love vegetables! Though, I don't know what to do with them other than to sauté it with garlic. :)

And for those of you coming from LA: I was just there and I absolutely love the city! So much great food! I'm pretty sure that I gained at least 5 lbs the past 3 weeks I was there. Are you all ready for Chicago's winter? I think the transition from Seattle's low-mid 30s to Chicago's winter will be hard for me. I don't think I packed enough warm clothes! haha

Hey guys!  My name is Luke and I studied Psychology and Linguistics at University of Toronto.  I will also be doing the 3-year track and am planning on doing the neurogenic disorders specialization.  I'm also considering a research option, but that is definitely still up in the air as I definitely want to graduate in 3 years and not go beyond that (3 years already seems like a long time in itself!).  I visited the campus once for two days to get a feel for the campus and the faculty and loved it (who wouldn't?) but never got the chance to visit Chicago so I am really looking forward to heading over there.  I move into my apartment in Evanston tomorrow so I'll be there soon!  If anyone wants to hang out before Tuesday let me know!

I would love to meet everyone and am looking forward to going out with you guys next Tuesday.  Is anyone bringing guests, because my boyfriend will be in town from Toronto helping me move in so I was hoping to come with him.

Also, he and I are both vegan (Melanie, you'll definitely have to teach me some recipes because my boyfriend is definitely more of the cook in this relationship than I am and I'll need some pointers for when he goes back to Toronto) so after looking at the menu online I don't think there will be much for us haha.  I still really wanna come and meet everyone though so don't think we're weird if we don't eat much.  See you guys in a week!

I'm thinking of doing the neurogenic track, since it seems to have a big linguistics base.

I grew up in Evanston and am currently living there with my boyfriend. I'm actually going to be out of town until next week, but I would love to get together before orientation if there are any more outings planned!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I just made the move to Lakeview, and I love the area (though the El commute is probably going to get tiresome come January).

And since people seem to be sharing eating habits, I'll do the same. I'm vegetarian, and for those vegetarians/vegans out there, I'd recommend Blind Faith Cafe in Evanston, and Karyn's Cooked in Chicago.

However, I'm new at the whole cooking thing and I grew up eating pretty much just red meat so I could really use some lessons from those of you who like to cook!

Ahhh hi everyone!

I guess I'm the third Ste(ph/f)anie in the group! Which I guess means
that half the time I'll probably be responding to the wrong person
when I hear my name haha. I'm from Fort Worth, Texas and I received my
bachelor's in Journalism at the University of Texas in Austin. I'm set
for the two year track and right now I'm interested in neurogenic but
I haven't completely made up my mind yet.

As excited as I am to start grad school, I'm a little nervous as well.
My mind's a little dusty right now because, to be completely honest, I
haven't done anything SLP related since May. Whoops! I see all of
y'all (I say 'y'all' way too much, please don't judge!) doing all of
this amazing SLP work and I'm like at my part time job with Apple.
Embarrassing! I'm also moving from a place where the average summer
temperature is 100 degrees to Evanston, where I am definitely not
prepared to freeze during the winter. I'm so with all of the
California people right now.

Other than that, I love unapologetically bad pop music (if it's from
the 90s, even better), Project Runway (please tell me some of y'all
are tuning in this season. Last week. So dramatic. If so, we should
definitely get together to watch the season finale), any and all dogs
(I'm so sad to leave my own so I'd love to play with your dog,
Elizabeth!), Wii games, aquariums/amusement parks, and I also love
vintage fashion/scrounging around the flea market for neat/useless
things that I probably don't need (oh hey, Melanie!).

And can I just say that I love the fact that we are all total foodies?
I can't cook worth a damn but I am so down with finding good food with
y'all at the expense of my ever-expanding waistline. The fact that
Chicago is a foodie's paradise may or may not have factored into my
decision with Northwestern.....priorities! Anyhow, we need to eat our
way through Evanston/Chicago and I'm so happy that all of my fellow
SLP grads are such advocates of tasty food. Which brings me to tapas
night - unfortunately I'll be arriving next Wednesday so I won't be
able to join in the festivities but I'm hoping to see some of you
before then or hear all about it during orientation.

Are any of you living in Englehart this year? I decided to go with
grad housing for my first year since I'm out of state and unfamiliar
with the area. It'd be nice to have somebody to walk to class with
every day!

Please feel free to call/text me if you need anything! 817-925-9995.

See y'all soon,
Stephanie

I'm glad to see there are some fellow sports fans coming in. I played football at Northeastern, we actually played Northwestern in '07. I was an offensive lineman so I can really appreciate all this food talk going on. Besides sports, my main hobby is music. I'm a drummer and dabble with the guitar.

I probably won't be getting to Evanston until the 10th or 11th so it looks like I'll miss these fun food dates :( but I'm excited to meet everyone real soon.

Oops, looks like I emailed the whole group, when I meant to just email Liz!

How embarrassing! :D

Time to intro myself: I've lived all over California (Sacramento, San Jose, Long Beach) and spent a year living in Romania to learn Romanian.  After I had the language basics, I started volunteering in an orphanage for children with special needs.  I was devastated by their need for language stimulation and sought out our field as a result.

I just finished getting my B.S. in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology in Sacramento but also have a B.A. in Literature from UC Santa Cruz.

I've done ballet my whole life and love people.  Also, in August I was an intern for Loral/Space Systems in Palo Alto, California where I got to help build satellites!

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hi all,

My name is Terriss (pronounced like "terrace"), and I'm originally from central Wisconsin. I graduated from Notre Dame with a BA in psychology and anthropology in 2005, and have been living in Chicago since then. For the last three years, I worked at Children's Memorial Hospital in Lincoln Park as a research coordinator in bone marrow/stem cell transplantation. I currently live in Logan Square, a neighborhood in the northwest side of Chicago, so I'll be taking the train up to Northwestern every day. I also like to cook, although I am much better at baking than cooking. (I actually do a lot of vegan baking and vegetarian cooking, which sounds like it will be good for a lot of people in this group.) I'm looking forward to meeting you all soon!

Hello all,

Another introduction!
My name is Lesley Rivetto; I graduated from Northwestern in 2006 with
a degree in journalism, so I will be in the three-year track for the
MA in SLP. I am looking forward to meeting the other three-year
students and I am so excited there is such a crew of us!

I live in Chicago, and I have lived here pretty much since I graduated
from NU. I just quit my job last Friday (finally!) - it was exciting!
I worked for Illinois Institute of Technology (which is located on
the south side in the Bronzeville neighborhood by the White Sox
stadium, US Cellular) in graduate recruitment. I did communications
and special events, specifically, so this is a big career change.

I live in Old Town, so I'll be one of the purple line express riders
up to campus for the next few years. Glad I am not the only city
commuter!

Otherwise, about me: I run; I cook (bake mostly); I enjoy travel; and
I'm a vegetarian (so I think I fit in pretty well with the group..
ha!).

I just signed up for the lunch at Norris tomorrow, and I look forward

Hi,

I guess it's about time I introduce myself as well.

My name is Michelle Palmer, and I graduated Wash U in 2008.  I created my own major, called Semitic Languages and Linguistics, which was a mix of linguistics classes and Arabic and Hebrew language classes.  I wrote my thesis on the sociolinguistics of a phoneme in Modern Hebrew.  I'm glad I'm not the only linguistics nerd.  :)

I grew up in Chicago (Lincoln Park), and moved back here when I finished undergrad, so I'll also be commuting from Lakeview.

Since I graduated, I've tried to get together all the prerequisites to start the master's, so I'll be in the 2 year program.

So excited to meet all of you!

Michelle

Here's the response I got:

Dear Avinash,

Please fill out the Petition at http://www.tgs.northwestern.edu/docs/Petition.pdf , obtain the signatures, and send the form to The Graduate School, to my attention.

We will inform you via email once a decision has been made.

Regarding the tuition for the 5th unit, you will need to pay $4,726. If you have further questions please let me know.

Best,

Antoaneta Condurat

Hi friends! It's been over a decade since we left NU. It was so interesting to see the first few emails that we exchanged when we didn't even know each other!

Anyway, I'll be in the US in November (for ASHA!) and will probably travel to California, Florida, and of course, go back to Evanston =D

It would be lovely to have our 10-year reunion! I'll probably be in Chicago/Evanton Nov. 18-20th. Would any of you be available at that time?

I hope to hear from you!

It’s great to hear from you, Cristina! What a blast from the past! This email chain brought back a flood of emotions from grad school!

Unfortunately, I will not be attending ASHA this year. 😞

However, if any of you make it to Seattle, please let me know!

Take care,
Katrina

Hey, everyone!

How fun! This is so great!  So great to hear from you! My heart got so happy reading this!

I will not be at ASHA and am no longer in Chicagoland, but if you (or anyone on this chain) ever finds yourself in the Pittsburgh, PA area, please don’t hesitate to let me know.. soon or in years to come.

Also, if a spur of the moment 10 year reunion happens, keep this chain updated as you never know if a last minute trip can happen for folks, including me!

Sending all the love to everyone — keep changing the world and making it a better place! ☺️💜

Love,
Lindsay

Hi everyone!

I’m not sure if I’m going to ASHA or not, but I’d love to get together with people in the Chicago/Evanston area!

Hey everyone! So nice to hear from everyone. I’m living in the UK now and won’t be attending ASHA this year. Hope you’re all doing well. Would be great to catch up if we are ever in the same place in the future. :)

Hi Cristina and all,

I'm not going to ASHA this year but I am back living in the Chicagoland area and would love to meet up that weekend in November.
Keep me in the loop, please!
