Subject: Dear Professor Wong,

...

My name is Flora Sohee Kang. I’m still in charge of attracting
participants to the Korean government's Ministry of Knowledge
Economy's Open Source Software World Challenge 2012.

USD $16,000 in total will be awarded to winners in the international
division of this open source software competition.

I’m really sorry for bothering you, but we would feel highly honored
to have your students as participants.

International participants are exclusively allowed to submit any open
source software developed within one year, even if they got a prize
from another competition with it. In addition, even projects over one
year old will be accepted by our judging panel as well, if it has been
significantly improved recently.

Please visit our website www.ossaward.org.

Our registration deadline is July 23rd.

The final submission deadline is September 23rd.

I hope you will recommend that your students participate. I’m quite
sure that this will be a great opportunity for them. Every team that
submits its completed project will get an official certificate issued
by NIPA of Korea. I’ve attached an overview of the Open Source
Software World Challenge and a plain text message for you to forward
to your students.

If you have any questions or need more information, please contact me
at ossa...@gmail.com .

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Flora Sohee Kang

That's a very interesting challenge. I've noticed that there's a growing number of big tech companies are heading to Seoul
to recruit engineers...anyone knows what is it that South Korea is doing that Singapore isn't ?
