Dear Student Organization Leaders,

As I am sure many of you are well aware, the Westboro Baptist Church is

coming to protest out front of Hillel on Monday. If you do not know who

these people are, you can familiarize yourself with their views by visiting

their site www.godhatesfags.com<http://www.godhatesfags.com>.

I have talked to OFSA, and they have given me the green light to go ahead

and throw Acceptance BBQ 2009. Starting at 10 AM I am going to spark up the

grill out front of ATO (right next door to Hillel) and start cooking a huge

stack of burgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs. The idea here is to

completely ignore the church and to have such a big crowd with so much

positive energy, that we overshadow their protest. We want them to leave

frustrated because we are so big and so positive that all of their hatred

and negativity is drown out.

I want people to come at 10 so that we have a big crowd already there by the

time the WBC shows up, giving them no time to make their point. Here is the

link to the facebook event

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=212059822441&ref=mf Please encourage

your entire group to show up and stand united in the face of bigotry. I urge

you to invite your friends, and forward this email on to anyone else who

might be able to bring more of a crowd. Depending on how much momentum this

builds up, I might be inviting the inquire and some local news crews to

cover the event.

Thanks for your time and consideration. I look forward to seeing you all

Monday,
