Hey Nurses PUSH!!
I don't know how many of you know what IvyQ is, but it is happening on Penn's Campus early next semester! IvyQ is going to be February 18-February 21st, 2010 and is the first annual Ivy League LGBTQ conference! The goals of the conference are threefold: networking to create a strong and social pan-Ivy LGBTQ community; educating students about the history and different voices of the movement; and empowering tomorrow's world leaders to be proud LGBTQ leaders. IvyQ builds a vision of equality, where strong LGBTQ students can grow the confidence and skills to lead by example and thrive beyond stereotypes.

Workshops will include:
- LGBTQ Issues in Healthcare
- Bi-phobia
- Mainstreaming: How is it impacting the movement?
- Grassroots Organizing
- LGBTQ People in Faith Communities
- Don't Forget the T: Issues facing the transgender community
And more! We have 16 breakout sessions and 5 conference-wide events planned, along with a variety of social events.

The committee is working to get LGBTQ leaders from all of the Ivy League Schools to attend and it is going to be huge!

This e-mail has two major take away points
1. I would love you all to attend, it is going to be exciting and educational and can only help our group grow and get stronger.
2. I have been asked to run a workshop and would like input from you all about the workshop. It should be about LGBTQ health and can be really about anything we want. I was thinking about focusing on the new health care reforms and its influence on LGBTQ health and also about the different schools attending the conference and focusing on their schools health care availability for LGBTQ student. (maybe a panel discussion, small groups, round table discussion depending on the size of the conference.)

Please send me ideas, thoughts, articles, and also whether or not you are interested in having a meeting about this, as i want to get the basics down before the start of the semester.

Thank you!
