Hey guys,

First of all, thanks to all those who came out to the meeting today! We got some great tips to begin working on and are excited for yet another great semester in the spring!

Secondly, I wanted to let you guys know about a great event sponsored by the Queer Student Alliance this Wednesday night, 7pm:

Dating Violence in the Queer Community: "Love ≠ Abuse"

Think that dating violence only needs to be screened for in heterosexual relationships? Unfortunately, relationship violence is a very real and serious issue that faces people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Join QSA for a discussion and panel on the different dimensions of dating violence in the queer community. The discussion will be moderated by Ninah Harris, a sexual and relationship violence resource consultant. Hot beverages and light snacks will be served!

The panelists will include:

- Saida Agnosti, M.A. in Social Work Candidate

- Dr. Theodore Burnes, CAPS

- J. Mason, The Attic

- Jennifer Storm, author of Blackout Girl: A Memoir

-Azucena Ugarte, Women Against Abuse
