I have done a lot of searching in Google concerning "Die Axis".

What is die axis?

If one of the 2 arrows points up and the other points left what visible
result is on the coin?

Thanks for any help.

I will try to explain this. It really is simple but difficult to
explain. Die axis is the relationship of the obverse of a
coin/token/medal in relation to the reverse. For example, US coins are
minted with 'coin' oriented dies whereas Canadian coins are minted with
'medal' orientation.

Hold a coin facing you with your thumb and middle finger at the 9
o'clock and 3 o'clock position and rotate it so you see the other side.
If it isn't upside down, you have coin oriented dies. If it is upside
down, the it is medal oriented.

Medal orientation has the top of the coin being the top on both sides.
Coin orientation has the top of one side the bottom of the other side.
In the case you mention, the arrow pointing up indicates what one side
looks like in a 'normal' position and the second arrow shows that the
die has rotated 90 degrees, half way between medal orientation and coin
orientation.

Wish I could explain it better, but there ya go!
