Reckon I should post this here too.

I'm having an odd issue when reporting back to the VLE. I get the following error:
But when I try to fix this in the VLE, Numbas seems to reset it to 1 on reporting back, creating the problem itself (top one is the problem child, bottom is for comparison):

It may be because my questions do not carry equal marks, which leads to question number 2: is this allowable? Would it be possible to feed back a percentage rather than a score to get around this?

The system is not retaining any attempts and reports all attempts as "Not Started" so this is a little urgent now.

Thanks!

Just to satisfy everyone else's curiosity: Jane emailed me to say that the exam had questions with different numbers of marks available in the same pool, so some students had a higher maximum mark than others.
The Numbas LTI tool has to declare a maximum available mark for the exam to the consumer platform. At the moment it just uses the first attempt. We'll have to have a think about whether it's possible to accommodate exams with variable maximum scores. Every VLE I've seen assumes that each student has the same max score, so it might just not be possible.

In retrospect, tis a silly ask. It's not too difficult to adapt marks to make them all the same and it is more typical.

Thanks for the quick response and for looking into it though.

Apologies also that the images didn't attach here.
