Hi there, we are currently looking to migrate away from Canvas to MS Teams but one of the few things we do use Canvas for is Numbas integration.

Does anyone have any experience using Numbas in Teams? I do not think Numbas is fully LTI compliant.

Ideally we want to be able to link the Numbas assignments to classes and track student progress etc rather than just use it "anonymously".

If no direct integration, is it possible to build classes in Numbas (or import) for this purpose.

I am new to Numbas and not an end user - just IT support trying to work out how I can best still support the teachers if we do move to Teams.

Many thanks and I look forward to any feedback.
Regards,
Craig

Sorry - I meant TEAMS is not fully LTI compliant (not Numbas)

Hi Craig,
The documentation from Microsoft that I've found is quite confusing. It definitely looks like Teams provides some LTI tools that other platforms can link to, but I can't see anything that explains whether Teams itself can act as an LTI platform to launch other tools from.
I found one page - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/education/guide/1-reference/baseline-reference-lti - that seems to say that some other LTI tools can integrate with LTI Education, but I can't see any documentation about how.
If you have any more information about how Teams works with LTI, please share it with me.

Assuming that you can't use LTI, you could ask students to download their attempt data, and use the offline analysis tool to process it. See the documentation at https://docs.numbas.org.uk/en/latest/tutorials/deliver-to-students.html#obtaining-students-results-without-a-vle.

I hope that helps!
