Hi,

Nmap Scanning over "PPP0" tunnel interface will definitely have errors.

If you want to run a scan for remote machine over VPN, then run it over IPSEC tunnel.

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to run nmap on one of the networks that I have access through windows VPN service. I am getting an error and Nmap doesn't work.

Only ethernet devices can be used for raw scans on Windows, and
"ppp0" is not an ethernet device. Use the --unprivileged option
for this scan.
QUITTING!

I have tried using unprivileged option and it works but I have read online that functionalities of Nmap are limited in this option. Can any one share/help on some way around for this.

Thanks
Chiranshu

What is the nmap command you are trying? Can you provide the full nmap command here please (without the host specification)?
