What is the "to" address you see in the mail header? Do you see x- forwarded-for in the header ?. The best you can do right now is to setup a filter. I know may not be a solution but why confuse yourself whether the mail is sent to you or not

Gmail doesn't recognize dots as characters within usernames, you can add or remove the dots from a Gmail address without changing the actual destination address; they'll all go to your inbox, and only yours. In short:
