The correct syntax to use telnet is
telnet <host-name> <port-number>
e.g. telnet yahoo.com 80
You won't see anything on the screen unless and until you finish typing, let say
GET / HTTP/1.1
and giving 2 enters after that.
Unlike Linux, 'echo' is set to off by default, meaning that unless
server responds back with interactive session, you can't see anything
on the prompt.
Follow the steps to make it on, for the current session only.
Goto command prompt.
telnet
Welcome to Microsoft Telnet Client
Escape Character is 'CTRL+]'
Microsoft Telnet> set localecho
Local echo on
Microsoft Telnet>
Now, you can type the command to connect to the host.
e.g.
Microsoft Telnet> open yahoo.com 80

its also not working by run command...
I have tried to use it on my wifi router ip i.e 192.168.1.1 and it works but dont know why its not working on other sites

the screen just freezes at this... nothing else comes up after that
