Hello everyone,
The NUJS Legal Aid Society in collaboration with the Society for
Advancement of Criminal Justice has organised a workshop on issues related
to child rights.
Ruchira Goswami, assistant professor, NUJS, Bipasha Roy, member of the
Juvenile Jutice Board, Kolkata and Debashis Banerjee, advocate, High Court
at Kolkata have agreed to be a part of this discussion.
*It will be held tomorrow, that is, 28th of September, in Room 123 from 2.30
p.m. to 4.00 p.m.*
Refreshments will be offered to all those who attend the workshop. The
concept note has been attached for your perusal. The workshop will be
essentially aimed at the evolution of child rights in India, including
sexual abuse of children. Further it will also discuss the controversial
lowering of age of juveniles and the ways in which exploitation of
vulnerable children can be effectively tackled.
We look forward to an enthusiastic response from the general body of
students.
