Davao-based journalist to appeal Ombudsman's junking of charges vs captors 

Davao-based journalist Margarita Valle will appeal the recent Ombudsman decision junking her motion for reconsideration on the administrative and criminal charges she filed against 14 members of the police and military over her arrest and detention in June 2019. 

She will be joined by her legal counsel from the National Union of Peoples' Lawyers and officers of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines and International Association of Women in Radio and Television-Philippines in an online press conference tomorrow, August 12, 10 a.m. It will be streamed live via the NUJP's Facebook page.
