Davao-based journalist to file appeal to the Supreme Court

Davao-based journalist Margarita Valle will be filing an appeal to the Supreme Court tomorrow, Friday (October 1), 10 a.m. Since Ms. Valle is currently in Davao, the National Union of Journalists of the Philippine will be filing in her stead.

She will be appealing the recent Ombudsman decision which junked her motion for reconsideration on the administrative and criminal charges she filed against 14 members of the police and military over her arrest and detention last June 2019.

Media coverage is highly requested.

We will not be proceeding with the physical filing because of the Supreme Court's health protocols.

Instead, we will be sending a press kit containing the statements and a soft copy of the appeal before 12nn.
