This is a draft outline, I will edit it today and notify everyone.

- or copy & paste it into your browser's address bar if that doesn't
work.

What I'd love to see in this section is:

- HCI 101: What HCI is and why should we care? What does it bring? -
reduce frustration, increase salability, decrease training time etc.
Links to known people/books (1-2 pages).

- What are the challenges that MT brings to usability? What should
developers keep in mind while developing MT applications (in contrast
to WIMP apps)? - (1 or 2 pages)

- What extended "interaction" methods does MT provide?

- Generic evaluation methods - heuristic, walkthrough, usability
testing, ... (1-2 pages)

- How to test people? How many subjects is enough for a sample test?
How to interpret and evaluate test results? (1 page)

The draft information you provide above looks very comprehensive, on
the other hand I had a first impression that when collected, this can
turn into a "Usability challenges and issues in multimodal/multitouch
domain" article.. In our book, I'm aiming "novice" type people who has
no idea about HCI/usability/UX, etc.. As they read this chapter, I
expect them :

- to learn basics of HCI,
- to fully understand its crucialness and importance,
- to have an introduction of evaluation methods,
- to see the difference in development of MT-enabled apps.

Gorkem,

I have this stuff- I'll revise the info tomorrow.

HCI 101 includes info from Bruce Tognazzini's First Principles of Interaction Design, Jakob Nielson's  Heuristics & Quality Components, Universal Design Principles, Don Norman, & the old SAP Touch Screen Design

For the MT section- I have information from papers/presentations by Bill Buxton, Chia Shen, Andy Wilson, etc.

I also have information about doing usability and observation research - quick and simple, with a brief description of personas, scenarios, etc.

(I'm using some of the information from a presentation I did a year ago on this topic.)

I'm at home, working on this. When I returned from Cleveland I was
swamped at work- sorry for the delay.

Oh- and I found my Human Computer Interaction textbook, so I can
double check my sources for the HCI 101 part. ( I thought I lost it
when I moved last October ; }
