Hi all,
Welcome to another update on activities relating to the NetBeans
Platform Certified Training.
As always, this e-mail provides a few things you might
like to know about as students of the NetBeans Platform.
This e-mail is sent approximately once every two months,
no one other than myself, i.e., Geertjan Wielenga, is able
to write to it, no spam is able to come in.
1. Upcoming NetBeans Platform Training Courses. Several NetBeans Platform
training courses are going to be held in the coming
months:
- 21 - 23 September: NetBeans/Tinkerforge Integration
Course in Nordhorn/Lingen, Germany. It will be a fun
& entertaining course, showing how to integrate the
NetBeans Platform with external devices. Details
are here.
- 5 - 7 October: NetBeans Training in San Francisco. As
always, right after JavaOne, a NetBeans Platform
training course will be held in San Francisco. Write to
toni....@eppleton.de
or geertjan...@oracle.com
for details.
- 17 - 19 November: Eppleton in Munich, Germany will be
hosting another NetBeans Platform training course. Details are
here.
2. More NetBeans Platform Training Courses? If
you're in touch with a JUG (Java User Group), college,
university, or company where NetBeans Platform training
courses could be held, please write back to this e-mail
and say so. Note that the course is free at all
educational institutions.
3. New NetBeans Platform Student Project. Rahul
Raja, an attendee of the NetBeans Platform training course
in India, is working on a new application, named JQuickFinder.
It is a very useful tool for quickly locating files on
disk. Congratulations, Rahul! Are there other student
projects that have started up? Please write back, or blog
about them, to say so!
4. Screenshots.
The NetBeans
Platform screenshots page is always looking for more
screenshots! Respond to this e-mail with a screenshot of
your app and it will be publicized, in this way your
project can get free advertizing through Oracle's many
channels around the world.
