What say the group on a meeting tonight? I'm pretty busy this evening, but let me know.

Sincerely,

I'm fine with whatever. If we want to meet count me in. If everyone is busy then whatever. I can talk about using my iPad on stage for sheet music if we decide to meet.

No word from Phil? Do we skip Sept and reconvene Oct?

Hello my fellow friendly geeks.

I am back on my evening working schedule and as such I will be unable to attend tonight. I know October 9th is potentially bothersome as well, unless you all want to pay for Community Ed classes on Facebook and we can meet at the New Ulm Highschool for an hour and a half.

I would have emailed you sooner but I had to reset my gmail password which apparently means I have to put the new password into both the incoming mail server on my iDevices and the mail outgoing server on my iDevices, and since I don't know what my gmail password is anymore, I needed to be within close proximity to lastpass before I could make that happen.

In other news, I now have some really nice plush microbes on my desk from ThinkGeek.com (who did not sponsor this email).

Beyond that I don't have a whole lot to say, except if you enjoyed reading this email, you might enjoy other things I have written at either ApatheticThursday.net or (more importantly) PreviouslyAwesome.com which is the website for a book I wrote and could easily be the topic of a community education class on how to publish an ebook on Amazon's kindle marketplace.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop!

-Your friendly neighborhood Philip

But, why did you write a book? Is it about something? (Couldn't tell from the sample chapter.) :-)

Nate,

If we officially cancel the meeting, you're officially invited to come
over and see my Raspberry Pi. Otherwise, I'll just be hackin' on my
Roku. (Which I could talk about at a future meeting if anyone is
interested.)

I wrote a book so that I can follow in the footsteps of John Hodgman and become and deranged millionaire. (Rather than just the deranged person I am destined to be.)

As of now, I am taking the world by glacier.

And the book is about a bunch of random topics. Kinda like blog posts or short articles. I have been told some of them are rather humorous.

That would be awesome,

I would look forward to meeting with you all in future either remotely or otherwise.

God Bless,

Looking forward to October 9.

I can provide the experiences of a tech nerd working with a new public school 1:1 and the nightmares and successes therein. <grin> In the whole of the last 8 months, we have a new Ruckus wireless infrastructure, a new filter box called iBoss, and 300+ Macbook Pro student laptops to manage with JAMF Casper. While I love the Ruckus wireless and the lack of issues with the 1:1 laptops, it is the JSS Server and JAMF that is a huge time saver and IT person's best friend.

Everyone stay safe and God bless all our endeavors, be they large or small.

Wow. As much fun as it is to meet in person, the emails today have been 50-80% helpful/entertaining/geeky/informative/other...

I'm 79% in agreement with Phil. Oct 9 is fully reserved on my calendar.

Not sure that I'll make over Aaron. What hacking are you doing? Physical mod or software?

Good! I don't want to clean. And my wife informs me that it is TV night.

I'm experimenting with software development on the Roku. Roku allows you
to run little sandboxed scripts (called channels). Channels are
developed in BrightScript, which looks a little like visual basic, but
with a few useful additional features like associative arrays.

October 9th, yes. I will apply a lock onto that date for myself as well.

Sincerely,
